Interesting place to visit
This is an outside museum showcasing approximately 300 hundred different traditional houses, cottages, barns, an odd windmill and a church. These are salvaged structures from all over Romania brought together to preserve their history. Access can be gained into some of the buildings and the signage is in both Romanian and English. We were part of a group organised by Viking cruises so we had a guide who explained some of the buildings prior to letting us adventure around the museum at our own leisure. Very interesting place if you are into old buildings but it was so hot when we visited we had to stop at the small cafe for a drink and some shade.

Great buildings
We visited here as part of an organised tour. Entry was 20 lei or 5 lei with student ID. It’s an open air museum showing the different architecture of the regions of Romania. You get to see thatched houses and barns as well as the odd windmill. Some of the houses are open so you can look in at the original furniture, others you can just look inside the windows from outside. The signs are in English and Romanian. Highlight was the former church. Worth a visit if you’re into architecture and the park is also really pleasant to wander around.
