Beautiful old Bucharest

A delightful walk through old town Bucharest. It is a reminder of what a beautiful city was old Bucharest before Stalinist Brutalism did its best to destroy it. It is packed with narrow streets, beautiful old churches and other historical treasures and lots of very pleasant cafes and restaurants. Lots of photo opportunities. Essential experience.

    Take your time and enjoy the browsing
    I was last in Bucharest in 2011 so lots of positive changes in Lipscani, the Old town in Bucharest. More restaurants, more apartments, less abandoned buildings. A good walk to browse into the shops -- I am sure even busier in the warm weather when one can sit outside at a cafe and appreciate the architecture

    Busy Avenue in Old Town!
    Old Town Bucharest is filled with lots of restaurants and bars, a few hotels & shops and many beautiful Romanian Orthodox Churches. Strada Lipscana is a street and a district in Old Town that has been a bustling sector of the city since the Middle Ages. It is filled with people anytime of the day or night. There is something for everyone on Stada Lipscana!
