Fitting of a head of state of the former Soviet bloc, the palace stands out both in magnitude and in its luxurious interior garnished with beautiful design elements (furniture, carpets, mirrors, porcelain) manufactured in famous shops from the country and from abroad. We would like our visitors to see how Ceaușescu lived, not only as an internationally renowned head of state, but as a man in his own private life - the hobbies that he had, what his routine around the privacy of his home was, how he studied or what art collections he had in his house.

It very pleasant visit to this museum, also we were very lucky to have Denisa as guidance for the tour. She had very intimate details which intrigued me . Overall, I recommend visiting at any time this museum because you have what to see, not the mention the peacocks that are all around the area being descendants from original peacocks of Ceausescu family.

Unexpectedly beautiful
Awesome place to visit, even at this time. The entry fee for individuals is 45 RON and you need to book one of the tours in advance. On the website all tours are offered in a foreign language but the guides are Romanian (in case you're worried that none of the tours are in RO). They are very strict with the rules (shoes protection, number of people, disinfection, etc). The guide we had was very knowledgable so feel free to ask questions about anything. One of the things that caught my attention is that with the exception of some floors made of Canadian wood and some Portugues tiles, almost everything else was manufactured in Romania. Also the whole mansion was served by a staff of 12 and they had to leave the premises at 6pm. Anyway it's a very nice place to visit. Beware that there's hardly any parking space on Primaverii blvd if you want to arrive by personal car. There's no souvenir shop at the exit. The tour takes 45mins to visit 50 rooms out of 174.
