Simply Amazing!

The boat tour with Captain Sam and our amazing guide Emily was fantastic. They were engaging from the moment we walked along the dock to get onboard. We were well informed about the history of the lake and especially Spirit Island and the Indigenous people it belongs to. Our cruise was lots of fun, we took tons of photos and were educated too - worth every $! Would highly recommend a visit to Maligne Lake to anyone visiting the area. Thanks again Emily and Sam, you were awesome! Debbie and Kelsey

    Lots of Wild life.
Went to Maligne lake twice, 1st time on a wild life evening tour, on the way we saw a Hoarie Marmot and an Osprey near medicine lake, then at Maligne lake a Moose & a Mule deer. Drove there a 2nd day (early morning), saw a Black bear cub & a male & female Moose on the way, then in the lake parking lot a Grizzly was feeding, what an experience, saw the Marmot again on the way back. Hiked a couple of trails too great scenery, a lovely place to visit, go early morning or late evening to avoid the crowds.

    Idyllic
Beautiful lake nestling under glaciers in the Canadian Rockies. We had our own transport and drove from Jasper. The journey to the lake is part of the attraction, offering the most stunning scenery alongside the Maligne river. We also got lucky with wildlife, seeing bald eagles and, to universal excitement, three bear cubs and their mum. The lake itself offers free parking and a good, reasonably priced lakeside cafe with a stunning view. There are a number of good trails well signposted from the car park. The only negative is the outrageous price for the boat cruise. It would have cost us $360 for our family for the 90 minute cruise. It’s incredibly expensive compared to what we would pay in the UK, so we gave it a miss.
