- 5.0 Walker Road Vineyards (36 reviews)
-A great visit while traveling
Spent < 1 hour Wineries & Vineyards
We just happened upon this winery while taking back roads through Connecticut and we’re pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, friendliness and especially the quality of the wines. We bought a box of cheese and crackers and a flight and went on the rear deck to find both were really good. The winery has crafted a blend of local grapes with some imported to offer a great red and white that we would purchase in a minute. Give it a try and you too will be impressed with the the setting, the owners and conversation with visitors. See more..

- 5.0 Rustic Charm (1 review)
-Worth the stop to shop!
Day Trips
Rustic Charm is charming; featuring Reclaimed, Revived & Repurposed items; including furniture as well as home decor, baby clothing, wedding gifts & wedding items to rent locally & more. It's a fun place & Charlotte Adams, Owner - is fun & upbeat. There's also a decent price range if one wants to buy a "little" something or a larger item. There's a working area where Charlotte & Staff paint, create & re purpose within the shop itself affording the shopper a view of it all. Charlotte & Staff also do custom made pieces, as well as provide wood craft kits for kids (or adults) to purchase & create their own items. Some, not all, pieces are able to be shipped. Charlotte does a live FB presentation Tues. - Thurs. at 12:00 noon EST & she & her camera person are comical to listen to. My sister & I visited twice when I was there recently & it was worth the time & drive. If one is passing through this area & is able to stop, it's a nice place to do so for a friend's day out, moms, sisters, couples. etc... While I'm indicating an hour's visit; it likely won't take the entire hour unless you engage in some conversation. Again, it's a charming, delightful shop! And directly next door is a yummy bakery!!
