Thursday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Boat Rentals
    High Country Marine image
We were spending a awesome afternoon on the lake when our boat broke down, it was just about 4pm when we determined we needed help. Contacted High Country Marine. We were told they would have to launch a boat to tow us back to the ramp and it would take a little time. They were there to help within 1/2 hour, they first tried to see what was wrong with our engine and ended up towing us back for a very reasonable price. Both of the men on the boat were highly professional. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend High Country. Gerry M. See more..

Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops
Ms. Suzie is one half of the owners of this large shop, for Wilmington. The shop has second hand designer clothes, mostly women with some men. Because of Suzie's ski days, there are some ski finds. My friend Margo bought a high tech ski jacket for 75% or more off the new price. I found some great high end prints from the 1950s and a German glass etched measuring cup that I am still researching. The prices are good, The variety is good. And as a lifelong Vermonter, Suzie has great stories. Stop by for a nice afternoon browsing and buying. See more..

I was fortunate enough to recently visit and make use of the facilities of the club as a guest of a member family. Honestly, it is an amazing place. Great members and a very courteous and helpful staff. The outdoor accommodations couldn’t have been better - plenty of warmth, good food and drink and very safe places to eat around the bottom of the lift. We didn’t ski, however the kids did with their friends and parents. Super family venue. I can’t wait to see what the other seasons have to offer! See more..

While a visit here in the fall is a must, a stop any day of the year is also worth your time. We wife and I stopped on a late summer's day and enjoyed the beautiful vistas for miles and miles. I noticed for the first time that former visitors had left the guardrail plastered with stickers from around the country and probably from around the world. See more..

  17. 4.0 Bartleby's Books (6 reviews)
    - Somehow Vermont would not be the same without Bartleby's Books
    Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
Whenever we are visiting family and have the delight of travelling up to Vermont, Wilmington is a major destination (after the Chelsea Royal Diner), and Bartleby's Books is a highlight. As another reviewer noted, you walk in and all senses (smell included) get stimulated. While part of my visit will be focused on finding an Archer Mayor book I don't have, there are many other delights to be found (quantum mechanics was one treasured surprise). We'll roll in as a family (grand-parents, parents and children) and everybody will find something - so it's never a brief visit! Plus, to my delight, they are happy to mail books over to England! 18. 4.0 Lake Raponda (1 review)
    - Beautiful lake for kayaking
    Bodies of Water
    Lake Raponda image
Went kayaking here on a beautiful mid May Sunday. Since it was early season there were very few people on the lake or at the lakefront houses so other than the slight wind it was quiet, private, and easy. This is a smaller lake without water skiing but there could be a few fishing boats to aware of. It's deep enough where there's little to know worry of hitting anything and the launch is wicked easy to access and use. It was a first time for us but we'll absolutely go back to kayak more.
