  1. 5.0 Ridgeline Sports (5 reviews)
    - Awesome experience
    Self-Guided Tours & Rentals
    Ridgeline Sports image
Ridgeline Sports went out of the way to provide a great experience. We had been ATVing before but on guided tours. Being the first time going alone instead of a group guided tour, was fun! Maps were provided for the Pipestone trails and they reassured us we would not run out of fuel ( our first concern running out!) Ran up the trail to Ringing Rocks and then off to the lake area. Brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed a lunch with a chipmunk visitor by the lake side. Off to more trails ending up in loops in the west side. Took the trail 16 which is labeled a difficult level trail with no problems since the Polaris could handle the boulders. Took a different trail and ended up on backside of Ringing Rock. Seen all four corners at the Four Corners intersection. Helmets and goggles were provided which helped with the dusty area. Highly recommend Ridgeline Sports for a day rental. The trails are well maintained. See more..

    - Interesting for Any Visitor, Not Just the Locals

    Jefferson Valley Museum image
The Jefferson Valley Museum was developed by volunteers and is still run by local volunteers. There is no entry fee; but, donations are accepted. The museum is housed in an old barn on the south side of town. Besides interesting displays there are surprising bits of history about the Whitehall area like news broadcaster Chet Huntley (Huntley-Brinkley Report from the 1960s-70s) being a graduate of the local high school; the first woman elected to congress taught school in Whitehall; and, a newly restored phone switchboard can be demonstrated by the staff and visitors can talk to each other on old style crank phones. 8. 4.0 The Ringing Rocks (33 reviews)
    - Super neat!
    Spent 1-2 hours Geologic Formations
    The Ringing Rocks image
Stopped here on our way to Butte. We just have a 2017 Jeep Cherokee and made it all the way to the top just fine. The only time we had to put it in 4X was in the thick sandy area. You will come to a few forks in the trail, all you need to do is follow the signs that don't have vehicles crossed off. Pretty easy! The first part of the road that runs parallel to the highway is grated and bumpy but it gets better after that, just go slow! You will know when you made it to the parking area because there are a lot of signs up there then it's just a short walk up a steeper hill to the rock pile that rings. If you have a side by side, lifted truck, or atv you can drive all the way up! Rocks are neat, and strange. View from the top is beautiful. See more..
