-Beautiful farmland to explore
Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Farms
Quonquont is one of the most beautiful farms in Massachusetts, in my humble opinion. The fruit, including blueberries, apples, and peaches, can be picked right off the trees. A great place for weddings and events as well. See more..

- 4.0 Hitchcock Brewing Company (5 reviews)
-Local Brewery Off the Beaten Path- Hand Crafted Goodness!
Tuesday: Spent < 1 hour Breweries
I’m hooked! I saw a post on Facebook about all the effort that went into roasting pumpkin and squash for the autumn pumpkin ale that was just rolling out and I was impressed. Found my way to Hitchcock Brewery that weekend and bought two 4 packs of their latest creation. Kept one and gave one away to my daughter and son-in-law. We all proclaimed it amazing. Very creative labeling. Gorgeous amber color and and full bodied taste. Not a sweet pumpkin ale, but loaded with flavor from the roasted pumpkin and squash. This is a small brewery a bit off the beaten path, but not too far from 5 and 10. It has some impressive gardens with hops growing over a big patch of land. Inside is a small bar with seating. The friendly staff inside are more than happy to brag about their latest brew while pouring from the taps for a tasting. Definitely worth the trip and I will make it one of my stops when I am out and about in the Whately area. See more..
- 4.0 Whately Antiquarian Book Center (2 reviews)
-Best Antiquarian BookStore ANYWHERE!
Tuesday: 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Antique Shops
This is a treasure trove for those looking for really old books(we bought an early 18th century book there). There are books available for a wide range of prices, including a DOLLAR BARN in the back of the main building(which is an old school house). We have discovered some amazing books in the dollar barn. My wife and I go there regularly and always find something to take home. In the dollar barn there are also more recent novels and non-fiction. But even there you can find some older books. The search is almost as much fun as reading the book once your have bought it! See more..
