  1. 5.0 Tornado Fishing Charters (11 reviews)
    - Everyone limited out, Great Captain and Crew
    Fishing Charters & Tours
    Tornado Fishing Charters image
My wife and I went out on the Tornado for two consecutive days. They were combination Salmon/Bottomfishing trips. Captain Dwight Sawin and deckhands Joseph and Quinn were very gracious and efficient, hustling to take great care of all the fishermen and women aboard. Everyone onboard got their limits of king salmon and rockfish each day. We had our first encounters with Blue Sharks on these trips. Wikipedia states they average 10 Ft, and we saw several that size. They were consistently taking our bait, and providing exciting fights before they inevitably broke the lines. One fisherman reeled in half a king salmon, and a big blue got the other half. That’s the only fish the boat gave up, although often we had to quickly pull in fish past the circling sharks. Great fun and excitement! See more..
  2. 5.0 Westport Seabirds Pelagic Tours (7 reviews)
    - Great Birding Adventure at Sea
    Boat Tours
    Westport Seabirds Pelagic Tours image
I went on one of Westport Seabirds’ pelagic birding trips and highly recommend it IF you’re not prone to seasickness. They take you up to 30 miles off the coast. Their staff is friendly, enthusiastic, and super knowledgeable, and they do all they can to make sure you get great views of birds you’d never see on land. We saw sooty shearwaters diving for chum and they looked like they were flying underwater, very cool. Fun to watch the albatrosses seemingly walking and skating on top of the water, too. We even saw a South Polar Skua, among many other birds. Our trip was lucky and saw orcas, too, as well as humpback whales and dolphins. Be prepared for a very early start (we had a beautiful dawn) and a long day at sea (~ 10 hrs.) with food, a hat, sunblock, and energy! See more..

  4. 5.0 Westhaven State Park (5 reviews)
    - Great beach! Great for birding!
Monday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM State Parks • Beaches • Hiking Trails
    Westhaven State Park image
The trails and beach are great. Lots of shells and flat sand, which is perfect for building anything. Walk along the trails or the jetty for some wonderful views of waves, surfers, birds, mammals, and more. Bring a kite if you like! Parking lot is really good, along with grass parking once it fills up. Discover pass required for all parking. Slightly difficult to walk to the beach as the sand isn't always super compact or the rocks sometimes shift under foot. On the right side of the jetty, the wind is calmer. Be sure to watch for birds that feed close to the start of the jetty on the right side. Also a great spot to go diving for crab. Make sure you have a crab permit though! See more..

    Grays Harbor Lighthouse image
It only costs $5 and a tour guide tells you about the history of the lighthouse. This is the tallest lighthouse in Washington and the 3rd in the USA. It's 135 steps, when you get 2/3 of way up, You're met by another docent and told more about the lighthouse's lighting and how it was put together. Then you go to the top and the view is impressive. There is a restriction for kids. See more..

  9. 4.5 Westport Charters (78 reviews)
    - Piece of heaven on the Sea Angel
    Boat Tours
    Westport Charters image
This was an excellent trip on the Sea Angel, Captain Brian Birante and his brother Robert as deck hand were the hardest working crew I have ever had the pleasure to charter with. Not only did they do an excellent job tending to everyone, they were friendly and engaging. They told stories and treated the guests like friends. My friend fought a large King Salmon for quite a while and it finally slipped the hook, She deflated after fighting such a good fish then losing it. Robert told her she did everything right and that losing the fish was not her fault. Hearing that from her made her feel better. We had to let a lot of wild salmon go but we still filled the limit and everyone took two salmon home. Robert fileted the fish for us. They maintain a clean and organized boat. These guy are top shelve and I recommend they whole heartily. I am looking forward to chartering with them again . See more..

We walked the 1.3-mile mostly paved path to Westhaven Jetty, which separates the Pacific Ocean from Half Moon Bay. The tall dunes grass flows in thexwindxandcthe colours are gorgeous. It was an easy stroll but we had quite the head wind on our way back. As we looked back we spotted the light house peaking out of the trees. Beautiful views of the ocean at the end we could access the beach. See more..

The spacious 56 foot twin diesel powered charter vessel Advantage with Captain Geoff Grillo. The ship was well fitted for both able-bodied as well as Disabled bodies such as mine. When it comes to charter fishing out of Westport, Geoff and the Advantage Charters is the BEST operation out there! 14. 4.0 Twin Harbors Beach State Park (78 reviews)
    - Beautiful WA State Park
State Parks • Beaches • Parks
Twin Harbors Beach State Park image
We do an annual family tent camping trip and this was our first visit to Twin Harbors Beach State Park. A beautiful park, with an easy trail walk to a beautiful Pacific Ocean beach. The sites were wooded and except for the separate RV area, most were quite nicely separated from neighboring sites. Hot showers for a small fee, nice and helpful rangers. Gas station/general store within walking distance. Nights were chilly and early mornings tended to be foggy so warmer gear was much appreciated at those times. We liked this state park a lot! 17. 4.0 The Surf Shop Westport (4 reviews)
    - Best original shop on the coast!
    Surfing & Windsurfing
    The Surf Shop Westport image
Don’t pass this shop by without stopping in. Al and his surf shop has been a fixture on the coast forever, but like all small shops, needs support in order to keep doing what he does best. Which is local coast knowledge, rentals, and new gear. I bought my first wetsuit from him, and just bought another this last weekend, as well as wet gear for my son. We rented a board and hit the waves and had an awesome time. What a rush watching your son catch his first waves solo. It had been 16 years since I last travelled down here from Canada. Back then we were here every weekend we could because our surf is kinda blocked by the island. Coming back in, the shop is still the same, and Al is as fair and kind as always. This is what a surf shop is and has always been. If you want the original surf vibe from the coast, or stories from way back when it was just in its infancy in town, this is the place you need to hit. See more..
