  4. 4.5 Michie Stadium (109 reviews)
    - The football is only part of the attraction...
Spent More than 3 hours Arenas & Stadiums
    Michie Stadium image
While the Army West Point football team is on the rise, there are other reasons to go to a game at Michie Stadium. First, you have to start early down at the parade grounds to watch the cadet parade. Bring snacks and drinks and have a tailgate in the parking lot. Go early to the game to watch the cadets march on and the parachute team jump in the game ball. You can pet the Army mule and watch the cadets file into the stands along with their company mascots. 5. 4.5 West Point Golf Course (25 reviews)
    - One of the best public courses in the area. Looking forward to when the new clubhouse is opened
Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Golf Courses
    West Point Golf Course image
A truly pleasant experience - accessibility / reasonable greens fees / friendly staff / scenic, challenging golf course / inspiration of West Point. The entire golf course is well-maintained. Quiet and understated now -- once the clubhouse is completed, word of this gem will spread quickly. I'll be coming back frequently since it's easier to get on than my own county golf courses. 6. 4.5 Constitution Island (12 reviews)
    - Fun place to explore
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Constitution Island image
Constitution Island played a significant role in the American Revolutionary War. George Washington put a chain across the Hudson River to prevent the British from sailing up to Albany. The chain was anchored on the west side at what is now West Point and anchored on the east side of the river by what is now called Constitution Island. Washington placed cannon on both sides of the river. Should a British ship sail north, they would be caught by the chain and fired upon by the cannons. Exploring the island is great fun. See more..
  7. 4.5 Statue of General Tadeusz Kosciuszko (9 reviews)
    - Overlooking the Hudson River
    Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites • Lookouts • Monuments & Statues

  8. 4.0 Eisenhower Hall Theater (38 reviews)
    - 2nd Largest Theater on the East Coast
    Theaters
    Eisenhower Hall Theater image
"Ike Hall" is an incredible venue to catch a concert, watch a play ... or if clad in gray, listen to any number of Army general officers address "The Corps of Cadets." Built to be able to house all 4000+ cadets at once, Eisenhower Hall has also been home to comedians, musicians, Broadway productions ... and just plain fun. Of course, cadets gather here as well, weather for the theater (second in size to Radio City Music Hall), or the Ike Cafe on the 2nd floor -- open only during weekends. But it's certainly a great place to gather! See more..
  9. 4.0 Zulu Time (15 reviews)
    - What time is it?
    Bars & Clubs
    Zulu Time image
Well, if you are in the neighborhood of West Point, it is ZULU time. Great bar in the Thayer Hotel on the second floor facing the Hudson. Great ambience and plenty of comfy seating. Zulu is closed during the winter unless you want to have your gin and tonic while knee deep in snow. Srping time is the best time to go. See more..
  10. 4.0 Fort Putnam (5 reviews)
    - Historic outdoor fort museum
Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Military Bases & Facilities
    Fort Putnam image
We toured Fort Putnam to get a true understanding of the Revolutionary war. The outdoor fort is not ADA accessible. This is a great example of the forts that protected the colonists during the Revolutionary War. The site is complete with cannons, a small indoor exhibit, as well as, the rudimentary walls. The site has a number of crank audio recordings to better understand the workings of the fort. This is an off the path historical site that provides some beautiful views of the Hudson Valley. There are no restroom accommodates, and the stairs and paths can be difficult to navigate in slippery conditions. See more..
  11. 4.0 Malek Stadium at Clinton Field (1 review)
    - Bring your own food
Spent 1-2 hours Arenas & Stadiums
This location is where the West Point soccer teams play. There are grandstands but no concession facilities so whatever you want to eat or drink, you must bring with you. Also, there is plenty of standing room as well as a large area for kids to play. The best part is there is NO admission fee. Porta potties are the only restrooms, so take care of that before you come. See more..
  12. 4.0 Lichtenberg Tennis Center (1 review)
    - Functional, not Fancy
    Spent 1-2 hours Sports Complexes
My daughter plays regularly at this facility so my wife and I, during our visit to New York, went with her to watch her play. The building has a number of courts, all indoor, that are all illuminated with indirect lighting. Nets on all courts can be pulled out if action is taking place on side-by-side courts. The viewing area for spectators is all on a level above the courts so play can be easily observed. Since the football stadium is just down the hill, once could catch multiple sports within walking distance if the schedule allowed. See more..
