Parks
Gateway Park is a beautiful vowel on the north end of the Key Peninsula. There is a large playground with 2 short zip lines, swings and climbing toys for all ages. A large grass field may be used for many activities but there aren't any developed sports fields. The 360 Trails at Gateway park offer several miles of trails for running, hiking, biking and horseback riding. The parking lot has designated trail parking for horse trailers, be sure to clean up the parking lot and trail head after you animals. There are several very challenging mountain bike only trails including an advanced jump line and a pump track. There are hiking/running trails along the streams and in the woods which can remain cool even during hot weather. There are restrooms by the parking lot and a large pavilion for picnics. This is a great place to connect with the outdoors where all ages can find something to do and explore. Abundant wildlife that is best observed early morning or in the evening. Birds are always active including eagles. osprey and marbled murrelets which nest in the older trees. The off leash dog area is under construction. See more..
