    We had a very enjoyable visit. We “hiked” both the Centennial Trail and the trail at the Riverside Recreation Area. We were the only ones on the trails, and we were able to see some very cool animals, including three armadillos and a 6+-inch centipede. My kids loved it. We look forward to returning during the migratory season. Note: do not follow Google Maps directions. They will lead you astray. The directions on the refuge website are truer and better. Note: this site is not near Washita, OK. It is near Butler, OK. See more..
