    Sugarbush Soaring image
The very friendly and highly professional staff made my first glider experience ever a very memorable way to end a vacation in the Mad River Valley of Vermont. Soaring along the ridges on the thermal drafts was a thrilling experience, capped by a small adrenalin rush as we (intentionally) bumped onto the grass beside the runway at the end of the journey. Bring a camera: the views were gorgeous, and the pilot's commentary helped orient me to what I was seeing. The staff shows a total commitment to safety and to customer service. Recommended especially for families with teens, but really for anyone. Very enjoyable. See more..

  7. 4.5 Warren Falls (116 reviews)
    - A must stop on RT 100
    Waterfalls
    Warren Falls image
A beautiful quick, dog friendly stop on our journey down RT 100. The walk/trail to the falls is flat and very close to the parking lot. If you want to get closer to the falls or swim, you’ll need to climb down some large rocks. The water is crystal clear! You can continue on the trail past the falls if you want to. It’s about a mile loop. We had no trouble finding a parking space but could definitely see how it would fill up during the hotter months. The park is carry-in/carry-out and there aren’t any trash or dog waste receptacles. See more..

  9. 4.5 Castlerock Pub (3 reviews)
    - Always a great end to a Sugarbush day
    Bars & Clubs
I always enjoy my experiences at The Castlerock Pub. The staff is super friendly and have been there for years so it's always nice to see them after a day on the slopes. There always seems to be a good selection of music and there's never s shortage of excellent craft beer (and talk it vintage specials...think PBR and Narragansett!). They have stepped up their menu and I highly recommend the goulash, fish tacos and the chili bowls to fuel up. Ski fast, take chances and hit up the Pub! See more..

  11. 4.0 The Warren Store (71 reviews)
    - Great sandwiches for lunch!
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
    The Warren Store image
We were here in Mid October day tripping to Vermont. We swung into Warren, small quaint street with this one store. We ended up ordering lunch through a window. All covid/safey precautions. We ordered around the corner at a window for lunch, then came around front to pay. They called your number and we ate at one of the picnic tables outside. Great sandwiches. I had a small, which was huge and my husband large. They were fresh and made well. You really could only enter the store if you needed provisions, my husband went in to purchase beer. They limit the number of people inside. Looked like a quaint country store that had everything. Good bite for lunch with a nice view of the waterway/river below. See more..
