   Once a small schoolhouse, this is now the home of Rocky Branch Mountain Music. Every Friday night, dozens of musicians and even more fans congregate to keep mountain music alive. Admission is always free. Donations are welcome and are used to keep this old schoolhouse in good repair. Rocky Branch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. During the Mountain Music events, our kitchen serves a simple menu of snacks and drinks. A fresh pot of coffee is always brewed. Nachos and popcorn are favorites of the kids! A daily special is often on offer for a very reasonable price. Favorites include beans and cornbread or chili. Friday Night Jams Each old schoolroom is dedicated to a type of music or a group of pickers and grinners. Friday night jam sessions are informal and are limited to acoustic instruments only. Visiting musicians are invited to bring their instrument and join in. Audience members are encouraged to wander from room to room and hear what each room has to offer. See more..

   This awesome old General Store is a little off the beaten path and a must see for history buffs, its loaded with antiques and has something that resembles an old fashioned soda bar counter with stools, the owners are very friendly as well.    What I saw in this place was the same type of items we saw everywhere we went in TN. They did have a lot of collectibles though (that's what we look for). Some of the booths were so cluttered we didn't even go into them for fear of knocking something over or tripping over something. You couldn't even get to the back of some booths. The steps leading to the second floor were steeo and I noticed some people having difficulty getting up and down. Some of the booths had very high prices and it made you wonder what the sellers were thinking. If you kept shopping you could probably find the same thing in another booth for less (I found what I bought for much less in another booth) . The people working there were very friendly and we enjoyed talking to them about the area. See more..
