  1. 5.0 Napa Valley Vic's Wine Tours (15 reviews)
    - Excellent Day with Victor
Friday: 12:00 AM - 12:00 PM Wine Tours & Tastings
Napa Valley Vic's Wine Tours image
Wanted a no hassle wine trip with a knowledgeable driver. Victor fitted the bill admirably. I pre booked from Australia and Victor met us at Vallejo when the ferry arrived. Good day with nice wineries. Victor organised the wineries for tasting. One of the wine tastings was quite a bit more expensive than he had been advised and he subsequently spoke to the winery and arranged a refund. Recommend highly if you want a private car. See more..

    Breweries
    Napa Smith Brewery image
Located in a tucked away corner of Vallejo under 2 tall palm trees, you will find an open and warm beer tasting room. If your new try a taste of several beers with flight of beer. There are a lot of regulars who enjoy new conversations. Most of the people I have met are quite nice and remarkably accepting. Food trucks are sometimes available but if not there are several restaurants in the area and you are encouraged to bring your lunch or dinner. They are kid friendly. Definately a must taste if you are in the area. Good place, good beer, and good people. See more..

    - Great time touring the distillery.
    Distilleries
    Savage & Cooke image
We had a VIP experience touring the distillery. Started with a tasting that literally re-calibrated my entire palate to what whiskey, bourbon, and rye should be. Then we walked through the historic buildings and got the complete lowdown on how this liquid gold is produced, from the grains used, the stills and containers it's distilled in, to the specific barrels it's aged in. The folks that run the distillery do the tours and can tell you everything about the operation. We even got some ghost stories and spy tales that come from the military history of the site. A fantastic afternoon! See more..
  6. 5.0 The Landing Craft Support Museum (2 reviews)
    - Amazing hidden gem
    Ships
The Landing Craft Support Museum image
I had no idea, and I call myself a Maritime professional? This is a hidden gem on the mare island strait. This is a fantastic attraction for locals and tourists alike. visit this ship and get a behind-the-scenes tour, deep into the bowels of a world war war ship. And this is no ordinary worship. It's ultra-small and super powerful. The grandson of an LCS crew member and the grandfather himself will greet you at the ship's brow. You will visit everything from the pilothouse to the engine room. You will see crew bunk rooms and and the mess-hall / dining room. you'll even get to see their small combat information center. There they have some of the original radio equipment. See more..
  7. 5.0 Town House Tavern (1 review)
    - Friendly Little Bar
Spent 1-2 hours Bars & Clubs
My wife and I had to spend a few days in Vallejo on several occasions this past month. We didn't have much to do during the day (our son was in the hospital) so we walked around downtown and came across the Town House. What a friendly place! Marco and Donna, the day bartenders, couldn't have been more welcoming as were the patrons. The second time we went in everyone remembered us, asked how our son was doing and made us feel truly cared about and for. The have various things going on at night (e.g. karaoke) but were only there during the day but it was always fun and relaxing. They open at 10 on Sat morning during the very cool Farmer's Market. We will always have a soft spot in our hearts for the Town House. See more..
  8. 5.0 Pomegranate Seeds (1 review)
    - Bejeweled you will be
    Speciality & Gift Shops
This is a gem of a little bead store tucked away in Vallejo. Staffed by three women who are completely networked in the jewelry making business, they welcome you at whatever your skill level, can field about any questions you toss their way, and are delightful conversationalists. Due to its size, it can't carry everything, so you find a well-curated selection of unique beads and supplies. For instance, I picked up some mid-20th century crystals-- and the prices are reasonable and the quality for sure exceeds what you find in the craft stores. They offer classes and get togethers for those who want to expand their skills and knowledge. Ample street parking, open on weekends so it makes a nice road trip if you're not living right in the area. See more..
  9. 4.5 San Francisco Bay Ferry Vallejo Service (344 reviews)
    - Great price, beautiful views... Ahhhh
    Ferries
San Francisco Bay Ferry Vallejo Service image
The boat ride was great! On time both ways Vallejo-SF, and very efficient loading and debarking. Advice:. Get there early to line up 20-30 minutes ahead of time especially if it's a game day or special event in The City. Also, parking in an open lot seems to be safer than the parking structure. Enjoy!! We hope to do it again:) See more..

    Friday: Flea & Street Markets
    Vallejo Farmers Market image
It's got to be the best and liveliest farmers' markets I've been to, if not the best. It's open year round every Saturday 9-2 pm. (except Thanksgiving and Christmas) It stretches three city blocks. Besides the usual farm-raised produce there are food trucks and tents of many nationalities. There's often music. and ethnic ware, hand-made soap, local honey, etc. In the summer months, there are often car shows and ethnic festivities going on the adjacent blocks and waterfront. Loads of fun. See more..

Just went to Vino Godfather tasting (room house). It is located on Mare Island. I was thrilled to find out that they were open and serving wine. The location has a huge porch with lots of seating. There are also tables with umbrellas on the lawn. They allow you to bring your own snacks, so we brought cheese, crackers, fruit, and a salad. Right now they are doing wine by the bottle only, but check before going to see if anything has changed. The staff was amazing and friendly. See more..

  18. 4.0 Mare Island (49 reviews)
    - Amazing place full of history
    Islands
    Mare Island image
I'm reading other reviews and it appears that no one bothered to speak to anyone who volunteers there. Sad on so many levels. The folks who work there are a fountain of information. We stopped by there by chance with our young adult children. We consider it to be the best part of our two week vacation in California. It's run down because they changed their policy and the volunteers aren't allowed to help with restorations because they are mostly seniors. If you are local, please volunteer and help maintain a wonderful bit of history. You can find actual footage of it during it's time of operation in the documentary about the Indianapolis. Make sure to visit the WWII Navy ship anchored at the dock. Take the time to schedule an appointment to visit the beautiful officers quarters . Read all of the daily accounts from life. There are logs, newspaper articles, so much history and a great learning experience. Much better that Disneyland, Universal Studios and such costly tourist traps. See more..

  21. 4.0 Hiddenbrooke Golf Club (28 reviews)
    - It’s Getting Better
Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Golf Courses
    Hiddenbrooke Golf Club image
Hiddenbrooke was taking a turn for the worst until a recent change in ownership. You can see the improvements being made. Their tee boxes were the worst before but you can see the improvements to the tee box today. They are in excellent shape. The bunkers are being worked on with “fluffy” sand. Some bunkers still need work but you can see the course is getting better. Greens are in great shape and fairways are in better shape than a year ago. Clean up of trees and the cutting of long grass shows a better course for players. I am impressed. Keep up the great work. See more..

You have three types to choose from. You can have your steak cut thick or thin! Cash only! Then on one of the outdoor grill you can cook your steak. There is lots of seasonings to choose from and plenty of people to give you suggestions on how to cook your steak! You after you are done cooking your steak you pick up your sides, baked potato, vegetable, salad, bread! Very diverse group of people! See more..
