   My sister and brother-in-law from Santa Fe stopped here to buy a pretty glass piece for their home. William was very friendly and welcoming. Given the whimsical pieces in the front yard (which I liked), I was surprised to see the sophisticated art in the studio. Highly recommend stopping as you travel towards Taos from Santa Fe.    Actually located in the town of Ojo Sarco, which is north of Truchas, Country Road 69 is easy to miss. But this is a great little gallery with a wonderful owner, Priscilla. The focus here is NOT native crafts, but more modern fine craft. Priscilla is a silversmithing and jack of all trades when it comes to rocks and minerals. She's also extremely friendly. Besides her own works, she curated pottery, watercolors, textiles, artisan boxes and unique wall panels. See more..

   NM is one of my favorite destinations and I've enjoyed taking the High Road on several trips. I never miss a chance to stop at the High Road Marketplace. They have a wonderful selection of beautiful locally produced handmade goods and art. Items are beautifully crafted, unique and very reasonably priced. You will not find anything comparable in Santa Fe or Taos for quality or price. There's something for everyone! See more..

   This is a historic church built in 1805 in the marvelous little village of Truchas in Northern NM. Mass is celebrated during warm months and only occasionally will you find the church open. You can find it open during the September High Road Art Tour. Be sure and go inside and see the 1700's altar screen and locally made art. I wrote an article and have photos.
