   The Horses are beautiful and so friendly. We had a romantic horse drawn sleigh ride through the woods. We also had a tour of this magnificent farm. This was the highlight of my Vermont trip. Robert the Owner is a fabulous host! See more..

   Townshend State Park does not have a beach, playground or multiple pavilions for rent ~ it's a very common mistake. These amenities can be found at nearby Townshend Lake Day Use Area and are maintained by the Army Corp of Engineers. I've camped at the state park several times, hiked Bald Mt (4 mi round trip) and snowshoed in the off season. Stunning stone ranger station, lots of wildlife, great stargazing, unique camp sites (some with stone stairs) ~~ it's a magical place!!! See more..
