   Birch Mountain Pottery is a combined pottery studio/gallery. Potter Susan Gerr produces handcrafted functional pottery in the studio and it is sold in the gallery along with other local crafts and art. work ranges from mugs, casseroles, and bowls to garlic roasters, trays, teapots and much more.    There are a lot of elements to this park, near the center of Tolland. There is a playground, a swimming pond (although it's not always open), several sports courts including tennis, baseball, beach volleyball and soccer. But there are many trails throughout the park, some of which are paved for an easy walk, some through the woods with some steeper sections, though it is not particular mountainous. Great place to take photos of mushrooms (one of my favorite activities). There is also a little fenced in flower garden. I go several times a year. See more..

   This spa/wellness center is absolutely a lovely, serene experience. They offer a variety of services, including manicures, pedicures, massages, and waxing, as well as a hairstyling wing. We were offered mimosas while we got pedicures; all of the staff were so welcoming and found the right balance between talkative and letting us enjoy our spas. They also have a relaxation room, which offers tea, water, and trail mix. This room is beautiful and calming, and is a wonderful place to wait for your spa to start. It's an upscale spa, so it's on the pricier end, but it's well worth the experience. Tips are only in cash, but they have an ATM. See more..
