Umiak has earned my highest five-star recommendation. From the moment I contacted them regarding trip arrangements for canoe-into-site camping, Michael was more than accommodating, directing us to an ideal spot, making arrangements to ensure a wonderful experience, offering availability for whatever we might need, and giving us a quick but clear and effective tutorial on strapping a canoe to our car and reaching our gorgeous, pristine, and peaceful destination without incident. He even gave us great advice about places to go throughout the rest of our New England adventure that enhanced the trajectory of our itinerary. This was by far the best service and most positive experience I’ve encountered among any outdoor sports and recreation provider I’ve used. See more..

Traveled to VT from the midwest, reached out to a company looking for a guide to ride with my 15 year old son. First company didn't respond, but Rick was super responsive, identified our need for a fast guide to ride with our son & arranged for everything. The communication was amazing, the speed with which he was able to find a guide & set everything up was top notch. Very impressed with Rick's customer service. Also my son had an absolute blast with Coach Mike - perfect fit & beyond our expectations. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 4 Points VT for your mountain biking needs - you won't be disappointed!!! -If you’re in doubt, just do it!
Spent 1-2 hours Art Galleries
My fiancé and I went on a whim and had an amazing time! We found this studio on a map of the Stowe area and after inquiring, found out that you can make your own pieces. Due to COVID restrictions there were some limitations, but even with the limitations there were a good amount of options. Michael was very fun to work with and made the experience that much better. He was very flexible with scheduling the time for us to come in and the session only took an hour. We did this the last day of our trip not realizing how long the pieces take to cool, and Michael arranged to have them shipped to our home. Would highly recommend to couples or a group looking for a unique experience. See more..

- 5.0 Stowe Maple Products (39 reviews)
-Great VT Syrup!!! The best I have ever had!
Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
The owners of Stowe Maple Products have been so kind to us over the years. We come to VT every summer (except during Covid 2 years ) and go nowhere else for our syrup, ever. The prices are so much better than "gift type" tourists spots! Charming atmosphere in this quaint store( and sugar house used by owner. ) Just good products...no tourist stuff for us!!! We know great VT syrup and just enjoy it so! I have the highest respect for all safety precautions and cleanliness. You will never be disappointed at Stowe Maple Products in Waterbury. We stop every year on our Rt. 100 Stowe drive before hopping on rt 89 N for our summer home away from home air bnb in the great town of St Albans Bay on astounding Lake Champlain near KILL KARE State Park ( highly recommended including Island runner ferry in summer to Burton Island State Park) Thank you again Steve. See you next year!! See more..
- 5.0 Nebraska Knoll Sugar Farm (37 reviews)
-Delicious syrup!
Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops • Farms
Amazingly delicious syrup! We dropped by on a Monday afternoon; it is literally a house in the middle of the woods. It wasn't too hard to find with GPS; there were also signs pointing to the sugar house. Follow the GPS/signs, and you'll come to this house with maybe 1 car parked in front of it. There was no one inside the house, but there were clear instructions to taste, purchase and pay for syrup. It's the honor system all the way here. Syrup comes in 3 flavors and all were excellent. Prices were fair, and definitely less than what you'd find in retail stores. Only one other car of people came in while we were there, and as we were leaving, another car was just turning in to the lot. The path to/from the house is just about wide enough for one car, but we didn't encounter any other vehicle going in or out, so it wasn't an issue. Definitely drop by for a visit! The best souvenir I took home from in Stowe - ok, souvenirs (plural) as I bought multiple jugs...! See more..

- 5.0 Stowe Pinnacle (27 reviews)
-Steep, well maintained ascent to a great view
Spent More than 3 hours Hiking Trails
We were early arrivals to the tiny parking lot at the trailhead. The walk starts gently through a dense marshy meadow, then gradually ascends through forest. About 2/3 of the way to the top it becomes quite steep; the average grade is close to 20% (1500 feet in 1.5 miles). Once at the top you are rewarded with a spectacular panoramic view of the entire valley. Well worth the 2.5 hours round trip. It was a dog party at the top by the time we left; it seems everyone wanted to take their pup up to the top. See more..

- 4.5 Stowe Mountain Auto Toll Road (283 reviews)
-Driving to the Top of Stowe Mountain Auto Toll Road
Scenic Drives
Great trip! We arrived at approximately 1 pm and made our way to the ticket booth to buy our tickets. We then hopped back in the car and made the 4.5 mile trip up the mountain. There were several steep inclines up the mountain, but the ride up was very enjoyable and safe. There was plenty of room on the road for cars going in both directions, with several viewing areas along the way to take pictures. My only complaint was that there was not enough parking on the top of the mountain. We were lucky and found a spot near the entrance, but I saw several cars turn back. Once at the top, we took a short hike up the mountain and were surrounded by gorgeous views in all directions. We hiked a little bit further and encountered even more beautiful scenery around us. The trail was clearly marked and safe to walk on. Tip: I recommend spending 2-3 hours here if you truly want to see everything. See more..
- 4.5 Laughing Moon Chocolates (175 reviews)
-Awesome Valentine's day chocolates
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
I just left the store. I pre ordered my Valentine's day chocolates. I can wait for my boyfriend to open then and hopefully let me have one. I do want to mention due to covid they can only let one person or group in at the same time. There was an out of stater that was in front of me giving a bad attitude that he had to wait and when it was his turn he went in in a huffy and tore out of there yelling at the staff. I hope this doesn't spoil thier day on Valentine's weekend and I am sorry as a Vermonter and resident. Out of staters need to uphold the rules. We are all in this together. I want to thank laughing moon chocolates for a very lovely Valentine's day week with your scrumptious chocolates its bond to be. See more..
- 4.5 Bingham Falls (150 reviews)
-Great moderate hike
Spent 2-3 hours Waterfalls
My wife and I are enjoying the look walks in the forests littered with natures beauty! The approximately quarter mile walk on the leaf covered, uneven paths didn’t deter us. We picked up some fallen branches as walking sticks, a good idea for better footing. When you get to the falls there is a very steep, rocky access point to the best views of the falls. It had drizzled earlier which added to the adventure but I caution anyone who is not able bodied and sure footed to negotiate the hazards of uneven, slick paths. The walk to the falls is down hill which means a butt-burner on the way back. The trailhead is NOT MARKED and it took three passes to find the place to park. Parking is directly in front of the trailhead. It’s worth the short hike and hazards. Take time to walk the pathway upstream to enjoy the path less traveled, gorgeous riverside views and more solitude. A great moderate level hike! See more..

- 4.5 Stowe Cider (109 reviews)
-Good Variety of Good Ciders (plus a beer or two)
Thursday: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Distilleries
We were there hours before their new grand opening, as their current location is essentially doubling in size. We wish we could've been there to see all the new space (which includes new activities, kids play area, and small stage) put to work. As for the cider itself, I think there are 20+ options, so you will likely find something you like. Being someone who likes dry ciders, I like many of them. It is also fairly priced at about $7 for a flight of 4 samples. See more..
