Three Quarter Circles Sporting Clays image
We are currently visiting Steamboat Springs (May/mid season) and stumbled upon Three Quarter Circles Sporting Clay while researching activities to do. And WOW, so glad we did!!! My husband, adult son, and I had a fantastic time. The guys had some previous experience, whereas I had none. Our instructor, Maureen, was wonderful!! She was extremely helpful and patient in teaching me everything I needed to know. And she was always focusing on gun safety and instructing us on the various types of guns, ammo, and clay pigeons. We highly recommend Three Quarter Circles and will definitely return on any future visit to Steamboat Springs. Thank you again, Maureen!! See more..

    - Warm place to sit
    Libraries
What a GEM! Libraries made the world a better place. On a very cold morning after breakfast my husband and I wanted to sit, write, and reflect. Looking out over the creek and seeing a bald eagle flying over the hill was the perfect spot. The librarians were friendly and helpful. The restrooms were clean. There were plenty of books to browse and a good children's section. We loved that it was quiet and more open than our hotel room. Truly a fantastic place to visit. Great for meetings as well, there were several large tables to gather around that still had a view! See more..

Well, the city and the arts commission support the caboose next to the train station and the Yampa River. Kudos to the town for the support of the arts - from the library, to live performances, to public art, to beautiful outdoor spaces. Steamboat seems to be trying to present a great, complete experience, both to locals and visitors alike. It's great to see the balance of outdoor living and art expression as part of daily life. Fish Creek Falls image
This is a beautiful walk on a short (but steep) trail to see this very nice waterfall. My wife has a bad knee, so opted to stay in the car (parked in the shade) for the about 20 minutes that it took me to walk down to the falls, take a few photos and hike back up. I enjoyed the short walk and the views. The 5 mile hike and 2,400 foot elevation gain to Long Lake would be quite another matter. Fish Creek Falls is a very short drive from Steamboat Springs and the entrance fee of $5.00 is reasonable (free for us with a National Park Pass). See more..
