My wife and I drove over to South Fork to get our own Revolution Rail experience after our son and his wife rode the rail there the previous week. They thoroughly enjoyed their ride and so did we. The RR staff was a absolutely great, very friendly, safety conscious, and assisted us in every way possible. The rail bikes provided for a very comfortable, pleasant and almost effortless journey down the historic rail road tracks and the scenery was first class Colorado. At the turnaround point we took a short break, Ed and Terry provided some very interesting history of the rail road as well as shared some of their future plans for the activities available next year. We’ll definitely plan to ride the rail again! Highly recommend this experience to everyone of all ages. See more..

Revolution Rail was a wonderful experience for me and my family. The kids (ages, 2,8,11) had a great time riding and sometimes pedaling on the open but comfortable rail cars. The 8 and 11 yr-olds fit fine in the seats and they had a 5-point harness that straps onto the seat to hold small ones. You don't need to be in amazing biking shape to power the cars, it is a very pleasant and quite fun ride in a beautiful landscape along the Rio Grande River. Ed, the owner, was a fantastic guide who made sure that we all had a great time. One example of how he went above and beyond: My daughter's favorite hat got blown off on the return ride back and we weren't able to stop and pick it up. Ed and his workers found it the next day and shipped our daughter's hat back to us in New York! Great guy, great company, great experience. See more..

This is a conveniently located campground with two loops located right along US Highway 160 4.1 miles west of South Fork, Colorado. There are 5 sites on the upper loop, and 7 sites on the lower campground loop. Plenty of mature pine trees throughout the campground, and beautiful views of the surrounding scenery and Rio Grande River. The south fork the Rio Grande River provides fishing opportunities just south of the campground down in the valley. The newly remodeled (2010) facilities include 13 campsites with tables and fireplaces, 2 vault type toilets, and adequate turn around and parking space for RV's. No drinking water or firewood is provided. Very enjoyable overnight camping...the South Fork of the Rio Grande River is just adjacent to the campground...makes for a soothing sound of rippling water, and also makes for some great toe-dipping opportunities and fishing as well. Wasn't crowded at all...of the 13 total slots, only 4 others were occupied. Clean fresh air...enjoy !!!. See more..

For the past 10 years my family and I vacation in South Fork during the summer for ATV/UTV riding and fishing and winter for snowmobiling and to ski Wolf Creek. I have stayed at UTE Bluff cabins and Lazy Bear Cabins. Both are great places to stay. The only time i was deeply disappointed is when I rented from Kabin Keeper. I was taught not to say bad things about people and business so i will Kabin Keeper at that. See more..

We have a summer cabin in South Fork and have done the train 3 times. It's great. Lots of history and fun for the kids and adults. The ride to Creede is very pretty. The car is a little bumpy as it has no shocks but nothing too bad. The kids want to go every time we are there. See more..

Trisha was great to work with over the phone during our planning process, the whole staff is super-friendly and informative. Our family did the 2 hour instruction and 2 hour float trip. Thad's instruction on casting do's and don'ts was perfect. Presley and Bradley were great captains as well who were great with inexperienced fly fisherman!! The time was well worth our money and would recommend it to anyone that has a interest in fly fishing for trout. See more..
