I cannot even find words to describe the fun we had the day we spent at this winery. Chris and Bruno make amazing wines, and are personable, knowledgeable, and fun! The winery dogs add to the ambiance. All three couples joined the wine club on the spot, the wines are that good. This mission is very old and has gone through remodeling projects. I attended the 8 AM Mass. The music prigram was led by a very talented soloist and she was a very adept guitar player. All the capuchin priests were very warm and welcoming as well as the parisioners. Fathe had us raide our hand if we were visiting. The inside of this mission is stunning. We had a wonderful visit to Lincourt Vineyards! The seating was plentiful and very widely spaced with two adirondack chairs, a coffee table, umbrella and plenty of space between each visitor. Staff was very attentive and present, knowledgeable about their wines and very friendly. Tastings were $20 per person, but credited one tasting per $100 of wine purchased. We watched them clean an area after a customer left and all surfaces were sprayed with a disinfectant, left to dry for 15 minutes and then wiped down. This little place is just five minutes from downtown Solvang, very easy to find. We were greeted by the cutest couple, they were very friendly and welcoming. They have several varieties that ripen at different times of the year. We were able to pick Galas, but they have them for sale at the stand if you would rather. We walked through the orchard to the trees ready for picking and went to town. The price was $!.65 a pound for pesticide free apples. It is a picture taking kind of visit. The best thing was being able to see the owners hobby, growing giant pumpkins to compete in Half Moon Bay. They were huge and absolutely beautiful. She was so excited to share her growing tips. While in the museum of Elverhoj, I was smitten by the amazing wood carvings of Jes P Smidt. On one of the plaques, it mentioned that he had done most of the carving at Bethania Lutheran Church. Since it was so very close, we thought we would take a piece. WOW! Were we surprised!! The woodwork on the reredos and the alter box are outstanding examples of a master woodcarver. If you are into history and culture, this is a must see. I would caution you that is a church and to be sensitive of ceremony or services, but you'll be lucky if you get to take a peek. See more..

Walked to the back, and surprise, there was a false wall of books that opened up into a wonderful beer establishment. We were on our way up to Solvang and we were looking for something to see or do on the way up. About 15 minutes outside of Solvang is this quaint little hike to a very tiny waterfall. The hike up is like a 10 minute non strenuous walk but it is very beautiful. It wasn't busy when we went up so the walk was nice a quiet lots of wildlife to see on your way up, birds, squirrels etc.. This would be a great beginners hike or a hike with kids, dogs, older people etc. as it is fairly flat the entire way. The "falls" itself are pretty underwhelming as there isn't a lot of water flowing, This isn't Multnomah Falls in Oregon, look it up... Overall a nice quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of Solvang, if there is such a thing.. Tips: Parking is free and located near by Bathrooms on site and as dirty as you would expect a park bathroom to be.. the ones down the hill are much cleaner.. FYI See more..

This is a pretty park, lots of mature trees. They have a skate park and it was very busy the day I visited. There are public restrooms near the front of the park. They have a nice playground and plenty of picnic tables. They also have group areas. This park is not far up Atterdag Rd. from the main drag of Solvang, but the entrance is at a bend in the road, so keep a lookout for their sign. See more..
