Excellent hard ciders! We tried 9 of them. My 2 favorite ones were the Wulf Kitty and Squashed. The ciders ranged from dry to sweet and had unique flavors. Highly recommend North Country Hard Cider. I have tried many hard ciders and this place is one of the best. See more..

After visiting the waterfall created by the dam on the Salmon Falls River where Front Street meets Main Street in South Berwick, I drove around to the mill complex to the Rollinsford Public Library. It was in the Salmon Falls Lower Mill. I took the elevator to the Lower Level. Downstairs, the layout was a bit confusing. There were some bookcases in the hallway straight ahead out of the elevator. I thought the entrance was beyond that. It was wasn’t; it was a dead end. There was a plain metal door back near the bookcases. A library sign was beside the door. I tried the door. It was unlocked. I opened it. It proved to be the entrance to the library. Inside, I was greeted by the librarian on duty who invited me to browse the four rooms. First was the Children’s Room. Everything for children was in there – books, DVD’s, and music CD’s. Across from the Children’s Room was an interesting seating area. There were two round couches. Next was the Reference Room which also had History books. I came upon a book I’d seen in other libraries. It was Charles Mann’s “1493: Uncovering the New World Columbus Created” that explains the impacts on Europe and The Americas of Columbus’s exploration. He'd also written "1491" about The Americas before Columbus's arrival. The librarian said "1491" was very popular and people had to join a waiting list for it. Next was the Community Meeting Room which had a large table and chairs as well as a piano. The main room held Young Adult, Fiction, and other sections. Although not physically large, the library had adequate resources with access to New Hampshire State Library as well as Hoopla and Overdrive. Additionally, there was a quiet nook with several public computers. Despite its size, I rate the Rollinsford Public Library at 4.0. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. 6. 4.0 CHARLES COGSWELL DOE (1 review)
    - NH HISTORIC MARKER FOR CHARLES C. DOE, JURIST

    CHARLES COGSWELL DOE image
Heading over to Brandmoore Farm to see if it was open, I stopped to view the New Hampshire State Historic Marker on the corner as I turned onto Sligo Road. I'd passed it hundreds of times before. The marker text read: CHARLES COGSWELL DOE (1830-1896) Rollinsford was the home of Charles C. Doe. Jurist, Judge of the Supreme Court and Chief Justice from 1876- 1896. Upon graduation from Dartmouth College in 1849, he studied law at Harvard. His outstanding opinions as Chief Justice indicate his unusual legal attainments and left an indelible impression on the law of New Hampshire. It was erected in 1972 by State of New Hampshire. It is New Hampshire Marker # 88. I think it’s a great idea to have these markers to commemorate historic places and people o that future generations can learn about a state’s history in a fun way. I rate this marker at 4.0. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below. See more..
