- 5.0 Blue Crab Chesapeake Charters (501 reviews)
-Two wonderful days of sailing on the Bay
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Boat Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Private Tours • Day Trips
We've known Mark and Suzanne of Blue Crab Charters for many years and have always enjoyed our sails with them. We went just before Memorial Day weekend as we noted the bad weather coming in. We did an evening sail with 2 other couples of Thursday evening and enjoyed a lovely sunset on the bay. Our day sail on Friday was quite kick-ass and Mark turned the helm over to early on and chatted with Ellen and me the whole time. The sailboat is first class and in excellent condition. See more..

-Birthday celebration on the bay.
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Multi-day Tours • Boat Tours • Boat Rentals • Private Tours • Day Trips
This was the first time the family and I were on a private charter cruise. We weren’t exactly sure what to expect. My family and I chartered the trip to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday and due to the pandemic was hesitant to be around a lot of people. We so much appreciated the fact that you allowed us to bring our 2-year-old Goldendoodle on the trip. She too had a great time. The trip from beginning to end (3.5 hours) exceeded our expectation. The private charter exceeded our expectation due to the fact of the captain and his first mate’s professionalism, experience, and knowledge about sailing. Captain Andrew’s sailboat is beautiful, and we hope to schedule another charter soon preferably an overnight adventure. Thanks Captain Andrew and Andre—we had a great time. See more..
- 5.0 Wayne Gatling Guide Service (38 reviews)
-Fishing In the Keys with a real pro
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sightseeing Tours
I had the good fortune of hooking up with Captian Wayne Gatling 10 years ago at the 7 mile marina in Marathon and I have been fiishing with him every year since then when i vacation in the Keys.Wayne is a great captian I trust him and admire how hard he works and all the enthusiasm he bring to his fishing charters. Wayne knows where the fish are and he works hard to ensure that his customers hook up with a good catch.Wayne has taken me out fishing for mangrove snapper, grouper, sea trout, permit and the most exciting of all the fabulous Tarpon, the best fighting fish in the Keys.Wayne has a lot of patience, energy and makes each fishing trip a memorable one.Any fisherman regardless of experience that wants to spend a beautiful day on the water and catch dinner should defintely call Wayne Gatling the best charter captian in Marathon. - 5.0 Haven Charters (17 reviews)
-Best Charter Company Ever
Sightseeing Tours
This is the best charter company I've ever done business with! I've chartered all over including the BVI, SVI, Bahamas, Grenada with the big name companies and NO ONE gives you the service that Haven Charters does. The boats are clean, ready to go, and the owners are extremely helpful in planning itinerary and any needs you may have. Highly recommended. See more..
- 5.0 Experience Sail (13 reviews)
-Trip of a lifetime
Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Boat Tours
For my husband’s 65th birthday, I surprised him with a 5 day sailing trip. Capt Joe exceeded my expectations. We spent one night anchored in a secluded area with a beautiful sunset. The next night in Annapolis which is full of history and charm and another night in St Mary’s Marina where we had access to their pool and bathhouse. Each stop had different things that made them unique. His sailboat is very clean and roomy. We had our own “head” connected to our small but doable room. Joe is very accommodating. Due to bad weather he moved our trip back a day. He let my husband fish and do as much sailing as he wanted. He’s very easy to be around which is good since you are together a lot over 5 days! Joe was a complete stranger when we first got on the boat but easily became a friend. I highly recommend this charter to anyone who has some interest in sailing. You will not be disappointed! - 5.0 Rock Hall Marine Restoration & Heritage Center (3 reviews)
-ONce Upon A Chesapeake Boat
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums
If you really want to find two places on the Eastern Shore of Maryland that will give you a chance to see how historic (hand made) crafts were and still are constructed, you need to look in North East, MD. at The Decoy Museum & Marine Museum in the Town Park; And The Richardson in Cambridge, Maryland...just off of the Cambridge Creek. Also, not on the Eastern Shore, but right next to it in Havre de Grace, Maryland (Harford County) is The Maritime Museum-just next to The Concord Point Lighthouse. These are really neat places to visit and the environment on The Chesapeake Bay and Susquehanna River is not only beautiful, but peaceful and quiet: Definate places to visit and enjoy. See more..

- 5.0 Bayside Landing Park (1 review)
-watching the sun sparkle off the Bay
Spent 1-2 hours Parks
Bayside Landing Park is bounded by the Chesapeake Bay on the south and Bayside Avenue on the north. The Kent County Parks and Recreation has maintained this property well for the enjoyment of local Rock Hall citizens and visitors who arrive by car or boat. There is a swimming pool and picnic area. Different types of boats were tied up at the several piers. There is plenty of parking. Three educational plaques explain history, biology/ecology, and occupations/economy of the area. Not surprisingly, George Washington passed through here. This was a great day to watch the sun sparkle off the Bay. See more..
- 5.0 Delmarva Sailing School (1 review)
-Sailing school at the top of its class
Multi-day Tours • Boat Tours • Private Tours
Myself, my partner and a buddy of ours spent a week on Captain Mike Browns boat Gallivant learning to sail on the Chesapeake Bay. To those interested in learning to sail I highly recommend this school. Responses to questions and emails is prompt, study materials are shipped quickly and instructions are clear. We finished the week with our ASA 101, 103 and 104 certifications and had fun learning. Captain Mike was calm no matter what came up during our week of training. We lived aboard his 39’ boat and visited a different marina nearly every night, learning both to sail and about the Chesapeake Bay. Visit his web site and find out for yourself! See more..
- 4.5 Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge (61 reviews)
-Worth a visit if in Rock Hall
Spent 1-2 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
There’s a small but good visitor center at the end of the road, and there we got a map of the hiking trails, and recommendations on which to take. All the trails are rather short, but each offer different views and experiences. We were warned about the insects in the Duck Inn trail and figured we’d be okay after slathering down with insect repellant. Wrong! We cut that walk short. In other spots we loved the views across the Chesapeake, and seeing numerous eagles. See more..

- 4.5 Ferry Park (17 reviews)
-Bright, windy day, listening to the waves lap the shore
Sunday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Beaches
Ferry Park Beach is a great resource for both community members and visitors. The relatively small strand of well maintained sand is protected by rock jetties and looks out over a wide expanse of the Chesapeake Bay. There is a board walk with seating to take in the view. A pleasant time for contemplation. See more..
- 4.5 The Hickory Stick (14 reviews)
-Fabulous Shop
Sunday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops
Stopped by here expecting just seaside stuff. Wow, were my expectations blown away. This is a LOVELY shop with unique women's apparel among other things. The beautiful hair combs, bands and barrets keep me busy for a half hour. Then I began trying on some unusual tops and dresses. The owner, Sandy, and her shop assistant were helpful and fun. I bought several items and wish I had more time to return today, as I did not get to check out all the lotions, pillows, purses and jackets. Sandy definitely has a gift for purchasing lovely, unique items. I highly recommend spending some time here! See more..
- 4.5 Village Quilting (2 reviews)
-A Favorite place
Sunday: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
It looks tiny outside, but there's a lot more fabric than you would think! And the owners are always so helpful. I not only buy supplies here, but they long arm my larger quilts. I've never been disappointed. My daughter, a non-sewer, also goes to buy fabric for projects around her house. Again, the staff are always great. I drive almost two hours to shop here, but well worth it! Even my husband will come in to help choose fabric. See more..
- 4.0 Chester River Kayak Adventures (31 reviews)
-Solitude accompanied by eagles and osprey!
Kayaking & Canoeing
Jim provided excellent insight on what wildlife to keep an eye open for and where to site it. Throughout the course of my paddling journey I spotted multiple bald eagles, osprey, herons and more. His guidance on which "path" to follow provided a beautiful and peaceful journey inland past old farms and homes. He accommodated my short notice on a kayak rental, and permitted me to use his golf cart and trailer so that I could extend my trip. All in all a wonderful day in a beautiful location. See more..
- 4.0 Waterman's Museum (1 review)
-honoring the work of Cheasapeake watermen
Spent < 1 hour Speciality Museums
The Waterman’s Museum was established by townspeople and staff of the nearby resort to honor the work of the watermen whose work was essential to the development of the Chesapeake Bay. The small blue/teal building sits on the Haven Cove on the north side of Rock Hall. There are no official staff, but visitors can collect a key from the Haven Harbor resort. The small interior rooms are lined with photos and artworks depicting work on the water. Artifacts used on their work are on display. There is a small strand of sand behind the museum with beach chairs. The wreath on the door and the Santa hat on the Waterman statue gave the place a festive feel. See more..

Haven Harbour South is right on Rock Hall harbor and has been upgraded recently. There is a marine store, 151 slip marina and a nice new restaurant, the Admiral's Cup, open on weekends along with a long sandy beach area, tiki bar, playground, swimming pool and more. We liked the atmosphere right on the water. See more..
