   We had a fantastic day of trout fly fishing with Jeff. My son is relatively new to the sport and Jeff was very helpful. We caught around 40 rainbow, including 7-8 in the 15-20 inch range. Jeff keeps things simple and did a great job putting us on fish in all types of water. A fantastic roast pork and sausage lunch with all the fixings was provided by Jeff as well.    I have been going to HO for about 35 years, I have raised my children there, our grand girls, and now we are taking the 3rd generation of nieces and nephews. Never have had a complaint. Only got in trouble one time, we were picking and singing and it came upon quiet time.    Our group of 6 must have arrived at a busy time of the day, due to a large number of others guests already waiting when we arrived. At check-in, we were told we would more than likely be able to get on the next shuttle despite the large number of people waiting, but it became full, so we had to wait for the next one. It was supposed to return “shortly” from dropping off another load of guests, but shortly turned into an hour wait. However, we were able to sit down by the river in a shaded area during this time. Once the shuttle returned, transport was fairly smooth. I do feel like staff and operations were somewhat unorganized, but it got the job done. There was a very minimal safety briefing on the bus ride to the “put in” area, but no real instructions were needed. The river was very calm. My husband & I had a good time in our double, inflatable “Funyak” as we went down the Hiwassee River. See more..
