Cheryl was wonderful & gave us some interesting information about the historic vehicles on display. We would like to come back some day soon to experience a ride on one of the historic buses. Also, we found that the Mammoth Springs restaurant offers a Kiddie Meal in a cardboard version of the Yellowstone bus in Yellowstone Park. Jim Wilkie See more..

I had a "body treatment" and it was wonderful. Callie really pulled out all of the stops. I was exfoliated with a sugar scrub, bundled up in a mud wrap, sweated out in a sauna, massaged with bamboo and shiatzu, and pampered with a min-facial. It was definitely a great way to spend three hours and escapes from the ski slopes. See more..

  13. 5.0 Red Lodge Powersports (4 reviews)
    - Excellent Service in Uncertain Times
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM Hiking Trails
We were scheduled to rent a UTV/ATV while the Robertson Draw Wildfire was still not contained. All of the trails we had initially discussed riding were located in the area of the wildfire, and as such were inaccessible. With very little time to pre-plan new trails, Mason and the team at Red Loge Powersports had three of routes identified of areas that we could explore that were not in the area of the wildfire nor in the national forest that had closures due to the wildfire. They were very helpful in making sure that we enjoyed our experience, despite having received word that they had suffered personal property loss due to the wildfire. They were very friendly and wanted to ensure that we had a good time. I would highly recommend working with Mason and the team at Red Lodge Powersports for your UTV/ATV adventures! See more..

Natali's is our favourite bar in Red Lodge. The barrel of roasted peanuts builds your thirst and the beer does the rest. The first time we went there on this visit was because a Moose and her young were grazing by our front door! As out of towners, the bar staff always make a point of chatting, which brings us back time and again. See more..

Red Lodge Ales Brewing Company image
Was nearby (in Red Lodge, MT) and decided to stop by (glad I did). I had some great tastings of their beers (Gutsy liked several). Really liked the Helio, Summer Daze, and Flathead Cherry Cider. They rotate different beers in about quarterly. They have been operating for over 24 years. Sam (female) served me and made sure I had all I needed. I also had the Pastrami Reuben (very tasty) with coleslaw). I was not hungry enough, but was able to see a pretzel and beer cheese (Jack’s 90). The pretzel was great per person eating it. They have an Oktoberfest (start of September). If you are nearby, give it a try. Enjoy! See more..

Carbon County Historical Society and Museum image
Located in Red Lodge's historic Labor Temple Building, the Carbon County Historical Society and Museum is the county's central source for historic, genealogical, and archival information about Carbon County, Montana. The museum was first established in 1959 by Alice Greenough to house the collection of her world-renowned rodeo family. The Carbon County Historical Society was formed in 1974, and incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 1975. In 1990, the three-story Labor Temple building was gifted to the Carbon County Historical Society by an anonymous donor. In 1909 the Labor Temple was completed in Red Lodge on the corner of 8th and Billings Ave (now Broadway). This four-story, 20,000 sq. ft. Labor Temple Building was constructed by the Red Lodge Miners Local No. 1771 for $36,000, using a quarter of a million bricks from the Fromberg brick yard. It once served more than 1,000 union miners in Carbon County. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The historical society received money through grants, and private donations to restore the main floor and basement. In June 1999, the Labor Temple once again opened its doors to the community as the county's museum. The historical society is in the process of raising funds to restore and renovate the top two floors, with a completion date goal of 2017. See more..

    - Theater equipped with old style, new style chairs AND sofas!
    Movie Theaters
    Roman Theatre image
We dropped in to the Roman on a whim because we wanted to watch a movie in the oldest theater in Montana. It was so cool inside; a little worn but still in possession of it's historic charm. The staff were friendly and the prices were a little less than average ($8 full price admission) but the best part was the in-house sofas placed randomly throughout the theater itself. The sound quality was good and the seats couldn't be beat (we watched Zootopia on a sofa). If you are in Red Lodge and looking for a break from skiing, shopping and or hiking, check it out. The historic factor alone makes it worth your while. See more..
  28. 4.0 Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary (135 reviews)
    - DOING IMPORTANT WORK!
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops • Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary image
Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary's mission is providing lifelong sanctuary to non-releasable Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem wildlife while sharing a message of education and conservation. For 35 years, we have provided homes to animals like bison, bears, mountain lions, wolves, hawks, owls, and foxes that rescue/rehab centers declare to be too badly injured, too habituated to humans, or too emotionally damaged to live in the wild. The Sanctuary offers visitors an unparalleled chance to learn about native wildlife by observing them at close range and experiencing our interpretive displays. We also offer custom-tailored guided tours, whether it's for just yourself, or a whole busload of kids from your school, club, or camp. Each animal that we accept becomes our responsibility for the rest of its life. At the same time, each of those animals provides an educational opportunity that can prevent other local animals from ending up in a facility like ours. Closed Jan - Mar. See more..
