    Green Mountain Spinnery image
Green Mountain Spinnery has become a destination for knitters. What they find is the unexpected. Our yarn mill is cobbled together from a group of antique machines and new technology wedged into a building converted from an old gas station at the off ramp of I-91 in Putney Vermont. We make thousands of pounds of yarn each year for individual farmers, yarn shops and knitters. There is nothing like seeing the raw fleeces washed to fluffy softness, blended to magical colors, and spun to yarns you want to touch and wear. Our yarn shop is open 9-5:30pm Monday - Friday, 10-5:30pm Saturday, and 12-4pm Sunday. See more..

I love bookshops. I used to work in one. This is a good, lovingly curated one filled with new, used, and rare books. Only had a chance to stop by for a short while as we were on a road trip making our way around the state but HAD to make a quick stop when I saw the two signs: "Books" and "Coffee" Get some coffee there - So good. The shop is bright and beautiful and the owners were welcoming. Make a stop if you're visiting the area! See more..

Please go pick your own blueberries right now, July 2020. The farm is wonderful, with big bushes dripping with fat tasty blueberries! It took us no time at all to pick a gallon bucket. A fun activity for the whole family. The farm was recently taken over by the grandson of the previous owner, and he is working hard at bringing it back to its former glory. Along with the blueberries we also saw raspberries and blackberries. We will also come back in the winter to check out the maple syrup making process. See more..
