Maritime Museum & Visitor Center image
We visited on 05/14 and upon entering this quaint little center we were warmly greeted by the hostess who showed us around the small center and explained the museum and boat displays. The museum portion is well done in such a small space and the boats on display are works of art. This is well worth a 30 minute stop while in Poulsbo to learn about the seafaring heritage that makes up a large portion of its history. See more..

    - Fascinating Tiny Museum

What a cool attraction! I double and triple recommend it if you can catch it when it's open. It's full of fascinating history, and really has the potential to take you back in time to see how people in the past lived. They're only open for short bursts, so make sure you check whether they're open. See more..
  5. 5.0 Lilly and Talbot (2 reviews)
    - Exceptional Items

    Lilly and Talbot image
While traveling through Poulsho we by chance happened to stop by this store on the way back to our car . What drew us in was the unique items in the window that appeared to be local for the area. The owner was there and said he had only been open for about 6 months . There were a lot of handmade whales and other items that the owner had made . This was refreshing because so many of the items we had seen in other shops had all been made in China.. If you are looking for some really unique items that are made in Poulsbo this shop is a must. We were only sorry we could not have carried back more on the plane See more..

    Red Plantatiom image
The Red Plantation is a bustling busy store with awesome home and garden items, upcycled, vintage and repurposed objects, art and antiques. Each time I’m in Poulsbo, I make a beeline for this market. It’s absolutely full of wonderful holiday treasures at this time of year. Art, dishes, accessories, soaps, cards, candles and now a couple of European bathtubs. There are about twenty vendors and booths and they are so well coordinated! Now, paint classes are being offered as well. Call for info at 360.930.0119. Enjoy browsing, shopping and buying!!! I do. See more..

  9. 4.5 Central Market - Poulsbo (57 reviews)
    - I shop here for the convenience
Monday: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Shopping Malls
    Central Market - Poulsbo image
We always stop to get food for our Airbnb when visiting the area. Lots of organic and vegetarian options. The pizza is delicious. Plus they have small portions of fresh produce and they’ll chop, cut, slice almost anything. It’s especially helpful when staying at an Airbnb. I also liked their prepared food options, and the wine selections. The convenience is what brings me back. Yes, prices are higher than a normal grocery store but Central Market doesn’t pretend to be anything other than a high end green grocer. On our last visit a couple weeks ago, I was disappointed that they didn’t have sushi. I was really hoping to get some. Overall, it’s still my go-to place to pick up food when visiting. See more..
  10. 4.5 Kitsap Memorial State Park (57 reviews)
    - Beautiful, but not relaxing.
    State Parks • Parks
    Kitsap Memorial State Park image
Beautiful Place. Except the Nazi Park Ranger running it. I believe in safety and comfort, for every visitor, everytime, but this guy is Out of control. Prejudging visitors behavior as soon as they drive into the park. Assuming everyone there is "up to something". And "interrogating" and belittling visitors until he is satisfied with himself. My husband and I were coming across the Sound from Seattle, venture just a few hours by boat to this charm of the West Sound Poulsbo... was easy to find an open spot in the Marina because it’s Sunday. There’s a nice park right in the harbor. Liberty Bay and Olympic Mountains are a perfect backdrop. New, very clean restrooms, gazebo, many benches by the beautiful cabana and more benches every where on the sidewalk. Such a peaceful little town. See more..

This store, located along Front Street, with a side entrance that is sort of hidden in the middle of a large mural, harkens back to an earlier time. On display is a large selection of confections in the display cabinets. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer any questions. We purchased a few items, and all were very enjoyable. - Put this at the top of your list for local craft beer
    Monday: 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM Breweries
    Rainy Daze Brewing image
Started coming here three years ago when I bought a home in the area. I wasn't impressed at the time due to beer list and customer service. At the time it was porters, browns, malty styles, blah, blah, blah and really only the blond and one other that was to my liking. Not the breweries fault if hoppy is my beer of choice. Sadly, the beertenders at the time were also not helpful or honestly, engaged in any way. Fast forward one year, "Let's try that again." WHAT a difference, both in beer selections and customer service. I was immediately drawn to several of their drafts...IPA's galore. Ever since that second visit, I've been hooked. Super friendly staff every time I visit now. One girl (don't know her name sadly) is super informative, offers samples and knows her sh*t. I'm psyched when I walk in and she's working. I'm only in town every other month, but this is my first stop when I get here. Follow then on Insta to find out the latest happenings. See more..

    - Wonderful selection of items and charming owner!
Spent < 1 hour Antique Shops
I have found the best stuff here! A 1950s Formica table, bookcases, gorgeous old hand-embroidered linens, vintage children's books and so much more. Prices are the best in Poulsbo, too; I've seen vendors from some of the pricier antique places shopping here for their booths on more than one occasion. The ladies that work here are just a delight; they remember you and are always so excited when you find that perfect piece! Come often because the stock changes weekly. See more..
