This is a wonderful local park. It is located on the river/lake/falls. There are signs telling about the history of the site, the 2 sawmills, 3 dams and a grist mill. These were in production from 1905-1995. If you are not interested in history. There is a small lake where I saw people fishing off of the bridge. The play area was under construction. There is a trail that skirts the outside of the park. When I was there the dam was open and water was flooding out of it. See more..

I didn't see all of this park. I was on a road trip and driving through. This park seems to be where people launch their boats to access the lake. I took a trail, but I stopped where there was a rock climb down to a canyon. I was not prepared for this. The canyon was tree lined, there is probably a stream down there. See more..

I live down the hill from the Highlands. It's an easy place to get to and enjoy their services. I have been many times, for everything from massage to facials to mani /pedis. I have never had a bad experience. I have my favorite massage therapists there, and it's always a treat. They are good with listening to how much pressure I want and what needs work.
