Really enjoyed trying out Skytop Mountain Golf Club in the Port Matilda/State College Area! The course is hidden from view when driving up Rt. 99 ... exit at the Waddle/Gray's Woods Exit and head west on Skytop Mountain Road until you see the sign for the course on the right. I grew up in this area and this was part of what we could never see from the road. The developer has carved a fun course into the side of the mountain, with lots of generous fairways and well-tended greens. Beautiful par 3s with lots of elevation changes require confidence and resolve, and good shots are rewarded. Not very long, there are plenty of tee options for players of all levels ... though you may want to bring a few extra balls, because going off the fairway may mean a bit of trouble. I'd play this course again in a heartbeat! See more..
