   This shop is located in the center of town - look for the "open" flag in front. When you enter the storefront, you are greeted by the sight of beautiful handmade baskets on the floor, shelves / tables and walls. Every shape and size, large and small. The prices were so reasonable - anywhere from $5 to maybe $40 for a super-large. And part of the store contains "clearance" baskets at half price. Best of all, you can venture down the hallway to see the artisans at work and they are happy to show you how the baskets are made. The store is part of the workshop, and if you go to the web-site you can read how the workshop started, how the proceeds from the basket sales are used and the special artisans who have crafted them (each basket has a tag with the name of the crafter). I found myself thinking ahead to the holidays and wished I could have purchased more. I saw their baskets for sale in other stores in the Lake George area, but it was a great experience to see where they were made. See more..
