- 5.0 Philipsburg Brewing Company (153 reviews)
-No Gunfight, but plenty of Quickdraw Taps!
Breweries
We were walking through town on our first afternoon, half expecting a shoot-out to occur at any moment. Down the street we saw a crowd that appeared to be preparing for a showdown. Once we got closer, we realized it was a great mix of locals and a few folks like us, grabbing a great beer and chatting about everything except gunfights. Go ahead! Try to order some grub! They sell freshly tapped goodness in pints and their own special growlers. Grab a cold one in a place you’ll never forget— and then mosey on down the street for grub, afterward. See more..

-Come Prepared!
Ghost Towns
Stumbled upon this gem of a find. On our way to Philipsburg, we saw a sign for the ghost town of Granite. We found our way (best to have an all-wheel drive vehicle) up the steep and rocky dirt road. At the end of the road, we saw a "Visitor's Center" which, unfortunately had no unable information to exploring the town. We fumbled around for an hour and realized that there was tons of stuff to see, however we had no map!! Do yourself a favor and don't miss this treasure of mining history. GO TO THE RANGER STATION, JUST SOUTH OF PHILIPSBURG, AND GET A MAP OF THE "GHOST WALK" FIRST, THEN PROCEED UP THE MOUNTAIN. This will save you time and give you the information to have a great explore of the town! Enjoy your hike … if you can!! See more..
