-A unique treasure
Spent < 1 hour Antique Shops
As a collector and dealer, I constantly visit Antiques & vintage shops throughout the world. Bowerbird is one of the very nicest shops I've ever seen. The layout, displays, store flow, atmosphere and of course the owners are all incredible. There's a terrific selection of vintage and antiques to please every shopper--furniture, ephemera, unique decorative antiques, tools, books, you name it, all perfectly displayed throughout this charming place. My wife and I were enthralled with this shop--and make sure you look out the back windows for some beautiful views!! See more..

A clean safe paved path to walk about a mile in Peterborough. Located on Summer Street off of Main Street. Has a parking lot. After parking enter pathway and can go south for a short distance on paved path then empties onto Summer Street short walk to town. If you walk north on paved path empties onto Summer Street for a short distance (.02 mi) then goes back onto paved pathway. Nice walk/run/bike (no motor vehicles) for about 3/4 mi. Path located between street and river. Then ends on Hunt Road. Cars can also park on Hunt Rd and walk south. If you actually park on Hunt Rd ( have to offset park) and walk straight in a northerly direction through Neighborhood there is another paved path (walk/run or bike only) that will lead to Rt. 202 north. We were here in late September out for a drive leaf peeping. We swung into Peterborough and parked around the corner down the hill. Masks are mandatory to get inside, they have signs posted the minute you walk in. We went in and were told first come first serve seating outside so we grabbed a table. My husband ordered a few beers and we ordered food, the cheese and crackers which was huge and the chips and salsa. Beautiful sunny day, good beer/food. If your in the area swing by. The staff was friendly. See more..

Sit and listen to the bubbling brook as dragonflies buzz around you. Hike up to the massive boulders left by melting glaciers. Admire the sun peeking through the leaves as you make your way along the rige trail. Hiking is easy and gradual, perfect for any age or ability. Enjoy the calmness this forest provides. See more..

-I love this hidden gem
Bodies of Water
I am hesitant to write this review because I like it just the way it is. This place is run by the us army corps of engineers and is free to use (unless you'd like to rent a shelter). It is a great place to kayak, canoe, hike or swim. While I am sure there are creepy crawly things I've never had a problem except for some peaty flies. The rangers are great. Recommend talking to them for the lay of the land or for some history. Again - I love this place See more..
