  1. 5.0 Perryville Railroad Museum (1 review)

I often take the MARC Train and know Perryville is the first (or last) stop on the Penn Line, but being used to the lackluster stations south of Perryville, I was not expecting an historic building in Perryville nor that it housed a museum. The Victorian brick structure dates from 1905. The museum occupies the north section of the station and was started in 1996. This serves as the base for a chapter of the National Railway Historic Society. The museum contains local railroad memorabilia and model trains representing both Norfolk Southern and Amtrak, which run through Perryville. The high ceiling and large windows give the station and museum a bright cheerful atmosphere. Now when I wait for the train in Edgewood, I will envy my fellow passengers who get to see and depart from the historic Perryville station. See more..

  3. 3.0 Hollywood Casino (221 reviews)
    - Don't expect Las Vegas
    Casinos

After reading several recent negative reviews on TR, I was hesitant about my visit. Yes, the casino is very small. However, contrary to other descriptions, the staff were pleasant. After 4 hours of gambling on various slot machines, I found that they were no tighter or looser than similar slots at other casinos. There was a Green Turtle restaurant in the casino, and a bar, but there were no roaming drink servers. You can join a player's club to accrue points, although I was not offered any kind of explanation about the rewards. Joining the club does give you an opportunity to have $10-100 added to your card in your birthday month. Due to local jurisdictional decisions, no masks were required. Staff members pushed chairs in but were not as diligent about wiping down slots as I have seen in other casinos recently. There is no attached hotel. See more..
