   Beautiful, peaceful, enjoyable park that's always been in wonderful condition its great if you want to get out of the house and take a relaxing walk, great for dates, hang outs with your friends.    I knew an ancestor was buried in a mass grave here for Confederate soldiers who died while imprisoned at nearby Fort Delaware. But I knew little else. This National Cemetery is located in an isolated area between Pennsville, NJ and the Delaware River. The morning we visited there were no one else on site. Though there are a few graves of modern veterans, the monument to the Confederate dead, the well-researched interpretive signs, and the broad, grassy mass grave are the main focus of the cemetery. Additionally, the graves of about a dozen WWII German POWs are also onsite. There is no admission charge; there are portable toilets, there was no caretaker when we were there. See more..

   I was a little annoyed that I came all the way from Northern New Jersey to tour the house and it is opened such a limited amount of time. The house is only open from 1:00pm-4:00pm on Sundays and when I got to the house about ten minutes before closing, there was no one around to even talk to at the house. No one would answer the door. I was able to tour the grounds though and they are quite spectacular with a view of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. I guess I will have to wait until the next trip. See more..

   Along with Ritch the other comedian from Phila. was damn good also.As for AJ's We hadn't been there in many many years and were guests of a friend because of the comedy.We didn't like the first table because of a super AC draft (back corner) But I went to one of the managers and asked if we could sit by the door and he made a table for all 7 of us.Very nice staff.As for the food --above average bar food --especially liked the steamers--and the fried green beans--and the crab cake sliders--see where I'm going?--- above average!!Not a bad local bar and the staff all earned their tips that night---Good job AJ's--We'll be back especially for comedy.    A great place for nature and to get away from hustle and bustle. Refuge office is also gift shop of Finn's Point Lighthouse - and the NWR "Blue Goose" stamp is available here (so no driving an hour to Cape May NWR for it!) See more..
