   The America that emerged from the 1980's and 1990's was a convenience driven culture with the automobile dominating transportation and a lack of public spaces to enjoy. Fortunately a group of people in Hopewell and Pennington had the foresight to create this network of trails that meander through the countryside highlighting its beauty. Whether you are walking, running, biking, exercising your dog or fishing in one of the lakes there is a lot to enjoy. The infrastructure built along the trail has been done with great taste, it does not detract from nature but adds to the usability of the trails. Parking access at a number of locations is excellent and the connection to the Watershed and Honeybrook Organic farm also adds to the dimensions of the local area. Having lived here for a number of years I can certainly say that the trail has added a hugely important and welcome dimension for local residents. See more..

   Great experience from start to finish. My husband is an avid road-biker but this was my first foray into it, and we both enjoyed every minute. Tour leader, Jake, was friendly and informative, scenery was beautiful, and lunch was locally-sourced and delicious.    It is difficult to find knitting shops in New Jersey. In fact, I came across Knit One Stitch Too as I used to live in the area and found them to be helpful, courteous and extremely willing to help me with my knitting projects. Jackie and Jessie are especially terrific to work with; they gave me one-on-one attention and their skills are, by far, above and beyond what I could have ever expected. What a delightful shop.    The Mercer County Equestrian Center is a nice place to let your daughter (or son) pet a friendly horse's nose. In the hot days of summer they are in their stalls all day and turned out in the pasture at night, so they will be happy to have visitors. The manager is nicely safety conscious, so you are not allowed in the stalls with the horses, but they come to the stall door to greet visitors. You can arrange a riding lesson if you like (call in advance), and they have tentative plans to begin trail rides this summer.
