    Restoration Vineyards image
My wife and I stopped by around 3:45 or so and we wished we had stopped in earlier. This is a very nice place to sit and relax in the outside couches while tasting their wines. Gary, the owner, was busy building an outside patio area (which he is almost finished) and stopped what he was doing so he could talk to us about the winery, the wines, and answered whatever questions we had. They have a large area for outside tasting where they have live music from time to time on the weekends. The inside tasting room is small but very nice. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They do have a charge for the tastings. Oh...and their wines are great too! Make this a place to visit if you are doing a wine tour. See more..

Excellent service. On a Saturday night, with social distancing in place, this was a very crowded choice for dinner for 5 (we had no ressies). The hostess was honest and accommodating , she suggested we do drinks while we waited for our table. Our waitress was wonderful. Menu is mainly pizzas, but they are REALLY good. We tried 3 different pizzas, 2 veggie one with meat and all were delicious. See more..

Small batches of Reserve wines such as Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir and Petit Verdot as well as the famous Vin de Peche are available. The Vin de Peche is a wine made from a Muscat grape and peaches, a delightful recipe that has been handed down through the generations since the late 1800s. Our Vin de Noir is a handcrafted walnut wine fortified and aged for six years. A new addition to Maison la Belle Vie is a variety of white wines, including our Villard Blanc. Colterris Wines image
We visited the smaller tasting room on the river. The outdoor setting for tasting was nice with the view of the vineyard. Patrick was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to talk about the various grapes and their characteristics in the wine. As an estate winery, we knew that we were enjoying Grand Valley wines from the Colterris Vineyard and not imported juice from California. Colterris was by far the best of the 5 wineries that we visited. Their wines could easily compete with the best of California wines. A surprise was a delicious malbec rose. See more..

It is clear that Mike and his family have poured their hearts into Suncrest and have created a unique educational experience for people to understand the lives of alpacas. It’s always a joy to see someone who is passionate about what they do; that’s what you’ll experience when you go to Suncrest. See more..

    The Blue Pig Gallery image
You might expect to find this kind of gallery in Santa Fe or Taos. Or in a museum. To find it this small wine and peach country town is a big surprise. Housed in an old building with high tin ceilings and creaking wooden floors, it features an incredible variety of media. It is hard to believe that all of the artists are local and take turns working. The artist on duty last week was drawing while we watched. Paintings, Lithographs, Photography, Batik, Encaustic, Ceramics Coffee painting... etc. High quality and reasonable prices. And the aroma from the bakery next door! Downstairs there is more artwork, including jewelry and greeting cards. The stone walls and dark beamed ceiling creates a great ambience. Even the bathrooms are filled with art. See more..

We brought a picnic to the table outside this little winery for after our tasting. It is in a home and they've managed it quite well, playing music on the TV, having the nearby bathroom accessible. They also have other wares to buy. The wine maker and sommelier were of course very knowledgable. The wines were very yummy and it was super fun to taste them and get all sorts of facts about origins. See more..

We sent two boxes of Palisade delights to family members for Christmas and they were thrilled with all the local goodies inside! Becky is very friendly and packaged up the items we bought (even added a few things she didn't carry) and they both arrived in great shape and on time for Christmas. The Wildflower florist also shares this space and they do a great job on floral arrangements too. Together they host some really fun Friday night events that are open to the public (pumpkin painting, ornaments, etc). This is a great addition to the sleepy downtown Palisade Main Street! See more..

  22. 4.5 Peachfork (3 reviews)
    - Great new addition to Palisade and good change from your standard winery
    Wineries & Vineyards
    Peachfork image
Super cool place! I think once they are able to host more people of utilize their outdoor space for music, this will be a great option to going to just a winery that is like all of the others. Their wines were pretty tasty, one of the better places in the area in my opinion for a newer winery. Usually it takes a while for the wine to improve but they know what they are doing and it shows. The owners were incredibly nice! We were the only people there at the time (COVID time) but the owner and I'm guessing his friend? Were there enjoying a light guitar session and the impromptu music playing lightly in the background was a nice surprise! The tasting area is quite different as well and a nice change from the status quo. See more..
  23. 4.0 Plum Creek Winery (83 reviews)
    - Great Service and Great Wine
    Wineries & Vineyards
    Plum Creek Winery image
My wife and I stopped her a year ago while spending a long weekend tasting and buying wines in Palisade. Plum Creek Winery was one of the two best stops we made. They were busy, but service was excellent and we left with three cases of different dry red wines. Their Petit Verdot was a stand out that is not only good compared to other Colorado wines but also compares well to California wines. Earlier this week I stopped at Plum Creek Winery and bought a couple more cases of Petit Verdot. Once again, they were busy but the service was excellent and the young lady who waited on me insisted on taking the cases of wine out and loading them in my car for me...service that was truly above and beyond. 24. 4.0 Garfield Estates Vineyard & Winery (55 reviews)
    - Stop in for a tasting
    Monday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Wineries & Vineyards
Garfield Estates Vineyard & Winery image
We stopped by this winery in the afternoon around 3:30 or so on a hot Wednesday afternoon and they were only a few other people there so it was good timing. My wife and I like to talk to the owners so we can learn about the winery. If Dee is around, she will be happy to talk to you. They have some wines here that are not offered anywhere else in the area so make sure to try those. Their wines are good and we bought a few bottles. See more..

    - Don’t let the exterior fool you
    Monday: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Wineries & Vineyards
    Debeque Canyon Winery image
My wife and I stopped by this winery around 4:00 on a Tuesday. The inside of the tasting room is very quaint and looks nothing like the outside. They do have tables with umbrellas, but the air conditioning inside was much better. Hopefully Davy will be there and if she is, make sure to start up a conversation with her. She is delightful to talk too. Now for the tasting... You will get 4 complimentary tastings and their wines are good. My wife and I thought the red wines were better than the white wines. We really liked the Merlot and ended up buying a bottle. Please make sure you pay them a visit. See more..

  29. 2.5 Gubbini Winery (13 reviews)
    - Tasting room
    Wineries & Vineyards
Although we had tried to visit this winery the night before, they were closed so I was thrilled when we were directed to the open tasting room in town by a guy at a table at the Sunday street fair. The woman working was not the very most helpful; maybe she wanted to close. They were only giving tastes of white and fruit wine, which I sampled. As more of a red drinker, I bought a bottle of red without having tasted it. The woman could not get my card to work for some reason but we managed with cash. There were cute things for sale in addition to the wine. See more..
