    - The Best!!!
Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Boat Tours
    Sail Channel Islands image
An honor and a privilege to sail with these guys. A first rate ship, a good natured crew, and a captain with a lifetime of experience and a passion for sailing. I’d give more stars if I could!! We went out for Father’s Day. My kids will never forget sailing the ship under Captain Dan’s instruction in some pretty good winds (25 kts +), and we felt so safe the whole time, even when it got adventurous! We saw a shark and some dolphins, and learned much more than we expected to under this fun and experienced teacher. WE WILL BE BACK!! See more..

The concept is to “stray from the norm.” Strey is anything but traditional; it embraces the industrial look and feel of the neighborhood and takes “modern” to the next level! The vibe is fresh and sleek with clicks and pops of color. The moment you grace that doorstep you are sure to be greeted with the warmest of welcomes. It’s about great wine and an awesome time; Owner operators, Scott and Katie, are serving it straight up with no frills. Strey Cellars is unequivocally a labor of love from the inside to outside the bottle! With meticulous attention to detail and their small case production you are certain to being drinking something awesome. Single red varietals prove to be the specialty at Strey but are in no way limiting to the types of wine winemaker Scott Ballew thirsts to share with local and visiting wine enthusiasts alike. Feel your heart smile at first sip. Strey is your everyday wine. You deserve it! Taste the wine, tour the winery, join the Nation and as always… deviate responsibly! See more..

    - Maritime Museum well worth a visit

    Channel Islands Maritime Museum image
The Museum’s collection is a treasure trove of maritime paintings, ship models, and artifacts that rival some of the finest European and U.S. collections. Sumptuous seascape paintings by 17th century Dutch masters, 18th and 19th century English Romantics, French Impressionist painter Boudin, and unparalleled contemporary maritime painters complement the finest museum-quality ship models on the West Coast, including the Marple Models: nine exquisite, highly detailed scratch-built warships; and intricate “bone models” carved by French soldiers held captive during the early 19th century Napoleonic wars. The Upper Deck hosts interactive contemporary exhibits, featured temporary exhibitions, art receptions, and engaging Third Thursday lectures. Museum windows look out over the Channel Islands Harbor’s passing sailboats and gorgeous views. The Channel Islands National Park sits just offshore, and the sea lions on the dock out front add tremendous character to the traffic stream. Visitors are invited to view the art on their own or take advantage of the museum’s knowledgeable, free guides. If your idea of a maritime museum is limited to rusty anchors and old salty sea dogs, come and discover a vibrant cultural venue in the Channel Islands Harbor that celebrated local maritime achievements through contemporary interactive exhibits and displays outstanding examples of centuries of fine art from around the world. Peninsula Park image
This is a small, quiet park adjacent to the harbor with basic amenities like a lawn area, two tennis courts, picnic tables with grills, and playground equipment. 26. 3.5 Levity Live Comedy Club (18 reviews)
    - Good club, bad seating
Friday: 11:00 AM - 10:15 PM Spent 1-2 hours Comedy Clubs
    Levity Live Comedy Club image
No matter the live venue, if the show is in the middle and people are squirming from uncomfortable seats, that’s a bad sign. No comedian could kill in that environment as we and others around us tried to find a comfortable position after 30 minutes. The room is great for comedy, the sound and lighting are very good, the drinks are good but the seats... No amount of butt cheek padding would help. The chairs are clean, look fairly new, but are missing that secret ingredient: comfort. See more..

    - Drinks on the Beach
    Bars & Clubs
    The Rudder Room image
Local hangout with a killer location. Don’t come for the decor or a fancy place. This is a bar, nothing more. Friendly people, lots of laughter and great drinks with your feet in the sand. Great place for sunset views, maybe a volleyball game or just relax and enjoy your drinks on the beach while watching the boats in the marina float by. See more..

    Bars & Clubs
    Lookout Bar and Grill image
This should be a great place. It has great views of Channel Islands harbor and the food is good. The problem is the service which is slow due to understaffing not the staff. The clam chowder was excellent as was the hamburger. That also make a nice Bloody Mary. See more..

  30. Oxnard Historic Farm Park & Museum (0 review)
Friday: Historic Sites • Historic Walking Areas • History Museums
Oxnard Historic Farm Park & Museum image
As the pioneer settlement of the first farmers in the Oxnard Plain, the Oxnard Historic Farm Park is home to the two oldest buildings (the 1872 Farmhouse and the 1876 Winery), a towering 1800s Canary Island Date Palm, an 1890s Carriage House, two vineyards of 1880s Zinfandel Blanc grapes, a lemon orchard, an avocado grove, and five historically representative gardens...oh, and that doesn't even account for our numerous exhibitions of historic photos and farm implements that show the evolution of farming in the Oxnard Plain over the past three centuries! Stop by on a Tuesday or Saturday morning (9am-11pm) to look around, learn some local history, or just have a picnic in our covered pavilion. We have an acre of land available for private events including weddings, baby showers, birthdays, memorials, retirement parties, etc. The Oxnard Historic Farm Park & Museum is run by the Oxnard Historic Farm Park Foundation, which is a local 501c(3).
