   As residents of Oxford Connecticut this is a really nice amenity. Basically a private beach for town residents. Pleny of parking, rest rooms, a picnic area, sandy beach and lifeguards.    One only has to walk a couple of feet from the parking lot to see the most beautiful part of this hike— Veering to the right places the multi tiered falls within arms reach, Followed closely by the quaint covered bridge. This part alone is definitely worth the trip. Continuing on the path from here takes you deep into the preserve, rocky the entire way. Some of the hills are quite steep so appropriate footwear is advised. While the trail is maintained, recent storms and a rumored tornado from several years ago has left large swaths of destruction along the way.
