My partner and I went on the East Zion Jeep Tour and it was such a wonderful experience! Our guide, Teresa, was a very skilled driver and told us a lot about the areas we drove through. The jeep had great suspension which made the off-road terrain a lot of fun in the snow. We stopped at an overlook which had spectacular views of Zion from farther up, and Teresa let us take our time there before heading back. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see parts of Zion that are less travelled. See more..

Our tent was better than some hotel rooms we have had! Spotless, tastefully decorated, fully outfitted with cookware, plates, etc. We had a slight issue with our coffee maker Within minutes of our text someone brought us a replacement. Great experience! The hot tub and pool area was clean. Plenty of towels. Shower and restrooms clean and spacious. Loved the gas fire pits! See more..

We love this place. This was our second visit. First was in 2018. We even drove a little out of our way to stop specifically at this place. Ever go into a rock shop, and immediately know it's going to be overpriced, and it's just another retail store, only for rocks? Well this place is *NOT* one of those places! Unpretentious fits. So does friendly, informed, good selection, and great prices. And they have ice cream, donuts, and coffee. And the people here are exceptionally nice. Get a chance to shoot a gun safely with an instructor holding a national-level certification. We're located right in Orderville, Utah, on the road between Zion, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Many of our visitors stop in for a shoot on their way from one park to the next! I'm a school teacher, so my hours are a little irregular during the school year (August-May). This is a moderate 8 mile hike round trip to amazing views. The cable works at the top of the mountain are leftover from the 1900s when timber was moved to the canyon below. On our recent hike we only say one other group of hikers. This trailhead is located on the east side of Zion so well away from the crowds of the main park entrance. At the top, you have a spectacular view of Angels Landing, and THe Big Bend. You can also hike to Observation Point near the access to Cable Mountain trail. Well worth the effort! See more..

Points of Interest & Landmarks

Impressive knoll reached by walking ATV roads most of the way. Ford the small fork of (at least in June at this location) Virgin river. There is a gate for which (we were told by a landowner) you may get permission and key from a landowner across the main road. We just parked at the gate and hiked. There were some posted signs but our air bob host said we were ok to walk there. The last 2/3s of the hike is on BLM land See more..

If you end up at a construction site on a dirt road you’re going the right direction. There is parking if you keep going down the dirt road. If you follow the horse poop on the trail you’re going the right direction. Once you get into the slot canyon it’s really beautiful and fun to explore. It’s a pretty short trail and worth the pit stop if you’re somewhat close to the area. We stopped in route from St. George to Bryce. See more..
