   What a fabulous kayak trip to see the Harvest Moon rise! A short walk on a well hiked path to the water was relaxing. We kayaked to the west to watch the sunset then kayaked east to watch the full moon rise. It was breathtaking. The guides were knowledgable and fun to be with.    This fine art gallery is owned and operated by a group of local artists from the Maryland/Delaware shore. Since its inception in 2005, its 22 artists and artisans have filled the space with original paintings and fine art reproductions as well as 3-dimensional glass, pottery, wood, textile and other art. Paintings cover a broad spectrum ranging from land and seascapes to images from distant travels, florals, still lifes, figures, mixed-media, abstract and surreal renderinsgs in traditional and contemporary treatment. The gallery is refreshed on an ongoing basis, and the entire space is rehung monthly to ensure that visitors are treated to the most recent and best work available. A special theme exhibit is hung each month, in which artist/owners display a painting representing his/her unique approach to a particular topic.    So much fun! Captain Tom is terrific, laid back, prepared, and was very nice to my kids ages 10, 6 and 6. Would not recommend for younger kids as there is some walking and sloshing around through shallow waters around the sand bar. Great science and nature lesson for the kids without them knowing they’re learning. Also a lesson in kindness as Captain Tom showed how to save several beached and flopped over horse shoe crabs (and you can tell he really cares.) Plus a really fun boat ride out on the water with the wind blowing through your hair. We loved it! See more..
