   This is a fairly short hike and you can start at either end and make a loop back to the subdivision. Since we were enervated by the daytime heat we started our walk after dinner. You would want to make sure you are early enough to avoid total darkness (or bring a light), because there are stretches that are a bit rocky and narrow with switch backs and steep grades. If you are a sea level person, it may take you a bit longer to huff and puff up trail. But the views are worth it - you get a 360* panorama of the surrounding area. And you may be surprised, as I was, just how extensive the housing development is in this little valley. We were also surprised by the number of wildflowers on the trail...though I'm sure some consider them "weeds". See more..
