Over 25 years ago, Spain’s oldest winemaking family ventured to a new world: a sea-facing hillside in the Napa Valley, with rocky soils and a favorable coastal climate. It was here in Carneros that we planted new roots, building upon a 460-year winemaking legacy to create the next generation of estate-grown, artisan wines. We named it Artesa. 150 acres. Over 50 blocks. Sustainably Farmed. Our Estate Vineyard is set in the steep foothills that straddle the Carneros and Mt. Veeder AVAs. An ideal mix of topography and a cool, coastal climate make our location among the most prized Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyards in California. The Artesa Estate Vineyard is Fish Friendly Farming and Napa Green Land certified. Artesa: Born in Barcelona. Raised in Napa Valley. We strive to bring the best of our native and adopted homes to you in each bottle of our wines. And we hope that it enhances those moments when we are a part of your life. ¡Salud! See more..

The winery was relocated in 1994 when John and his family moved Frog’s Leap to the historic Red Barn in the heart of the Rutherford appellation. This grand and welcoming building was built in 1884 as the Adamson Winery and sits amongst some of our 200 acres of estate grown vineyards. Over the past 30 years Frog’s Leap has earned an enviable reputation with our unique combination of a whimsical label, sincere dedication to sustainable principles and our small, handcrafted production of wines. 22. 4.5 Caymus Vineyards (530 reviews)
    - Great Experience and Great Wine
    Wineries & Vineyards
    Caymus Vineyards image
What made the visit to Caymus so special is that they have something to offer at every price point and they also waive the tasting fee if you purchase an equivalent amount of wine. My group went to 6 very high end vineyards over 3 days and purchased very expensive great wines along the way. However, at Caymus we were able to purchase cases for everyday consumption because of the high quality and reasonable cost. When visiting Napa with freinds, you sometimes get caught up in the moment and when you return home thousands of dollars lighter and the expensive wines start arriving at your home, it's hard to justify consuming $100 bottles every day so you save it for a special occasion". Caymus, however, is smart by offering excellent wines that you can consume every day , like their Conundrum line. The Caymus Cabs. and blends are excellent and reasonably priced compared to similar winery offerings. Great value to top wine! See more..

Went here in the spring for a wine tasting and had an awesome time. The vineyards are beautiful and may only be topped by how good the wine was. Sean Marshall was our guide and he was outstanding. Took the time to teach us about the wine, we never felt rushed, or pressured to buy. He was funny and never pretentious.
