   My dad and I came clear to Washington from Illinois, booking a trip in the blind. Happened upon Matt via a different company and couldn’t be happier. Matt is the most pleasant fishing guide I have ever had the pleasure of fishing with. Very hard working captain. We went out for King salmon in the Skykomish river (not easy to fish) and he did everything possible to get the fish in the boat.    three adults and one child (age 8) enjoyed this tour. We went on a weekday and the factory floor was in full swing. I loved being able to see the different planes being put together. What an engineering feat! The tour is really informative and kept my son engaged the whole time. It is a 90 minute tour and includes a little walking and various displays. The highlight for sure, was just being able to see the planes and plane parts in various stages. It is north of seattle, so you will want to plan for a half day excursion if you are coming from seattle (don't forget about traffice). Also after the tour, there is a nice musuem display that we spent about 45 minutes exploring before our growling tummies said it was time to eat. See more..

   This is a park with a lighthouse and some of the buildings including the Keeper's House (Lighthouse Keeper), nice sculpture, good information including a Mukilteo Walking Tour done by an Eagle Scout. It is right by the Puget Sound and it is possible to take a ferry to Whiskey Sound, in fact we saw two ferries crossing in the midst of the sound. Getting on the ferry can be difficult in the evening or weekends so make sure that you allow yourself plenty of time. The lighthouse was not open when we visited but some have visited and been able to climb up the tower. It is a very peaceful place and there are restrooms available. See more..

   We contemplated not going up the lighthouse but we are so happy we did. The views are incredible, the volunteer staff are knowledgeable, and the base is full of historic items.    Traxx is the Seattle area's premier indoor karting facility and we provide the thrill of racing for all ages! We offer two separate tracks. Our adult course features karts that go up to 35mph on our 14-turn road course for ages 11 and up. Kids ages 3-10 can race on our upstairs kids track in our specially-designed kids go-karts. Included with each race is safety instruction and race equipment. Adult races also include lap times printouts with online access for later viewing. Traxx is also the only track in the Northwest to feature an indoor-outdoor combo layout, which is offered May-September during daylight hours when the ground is dry.
