I (and my wife) have been there several times. In Fact, I think well enough of them that I gave them some older logging equipment I had. See more..
- 5.0 Monroe Historical Museum (6 reviews)
-If your interested in the History of Monroe this is a wonderful experience.
History Museums
A warm and friendly atmosphere. We had so much fun looking through all the Exhibits. Everything well explained and documented. . Was impressed with all the old car pics from Sky Speedway as well as the old jail. If you like old war stuff they have a very nice tribute. Great Place! Its like a super cool antique store about Monroe. Its nice to see this community pull together to make this happen. Thank you to all the volunteers as well as the countless donations and financial support from the community. Well Done. P.S bring your camera. See more..

- 4.5 Lake Tye Park (21 reviews)
-Something for everyone.
Parks
This park has something for everyone. The lake is nestled next to the road on one side and butting up against fields and trees. The setting is beautiful. The trail is 1.63 miles and the scenery is great. You can see the mountains as you walk the trail. There are a number of different birds to view as well. This was a rare day of sunshine in January after crawling out of epic snow event. The mountains still had snow and it was glorious. See more..

- 3.5 Al Borlin Park (6 reviews)
-Decent city park
Spent 2-3 hours Scenic Walking Areas
Al Borlin Park borders the Skykomish River. You cross over Wood's Creek on a bridge from Lewis St. to enter it. There are wide trails that stretch over half a mile, with different access to the river. It's a bit rustic and you may encounter big puddles after rains, but you can walk around these. I especially like this park on hot summer days, because it's covered by canopy and cooler. See more..
- 3.0 Tall Firs Disc Golf Course (5 reviews)
-GREAT Fun for the whole family
Golf Courses
This is a brand new disc golf course. It is a very professionally planned course for the serious golfer. Tall Firs is set up for fun for the whole family or old duffers like us. I had no idea this was such a big deal with the pros. Paul and Michelle will help you learn how to throw a disc properly. $5 will get you a whole day's worth of fun and exercise. Tall Firs is in it's beginning phase and will eventually have a full club house ready for events and tournaments. See more..
- 3.0 Paula's Wine Knot Beer and Wine Bar (3 reviews)
-What a terrific place
Bars & Clubs
We visited Paula's, primarily to see a show/concert, in their "Slaughterhouse Lounge." Paula and Jim have a Wine and Beer bar with a surprising number and selection of both, as well as a "lounge" which they have concerts, comedians and I assume any other type of show they can book. The "Lounge" can hold maybe 130 people, has tables that you reserve for your "party" the band or whatever is in the front. There are no cocktail waitress' or anything, you can just slide out, get a beer, glass of wine, bottle of beer, pitcher of beer, bottle of wine, large mug of beer, plate of cheese and meat etc....I did not speak with Paula, she seemed pretty nice, I did speak with Jim who was very friendly and remembered my name after an hour of great music and running his business. This place is a winner, we will be back, and thanks Paula and Jim. See more..
