You gather your supplies and go to a work table, They provide aprons and gloves...and you paint, stencil, nail, glue and attach your bow. It was a fun 1 1/2 hrs! Cost was ok too- $20. They have a large supply of wood crafts to choose in their studio but this was a special event. You can book group events with them also... See more..

Love going to Phoenix Theaters although it's an hour drive, despite the fact that I could see the same movie ten minutes away from home. The reclining loungers that heat up are awesome. You aren't forced to sit on top of strangers, and the popcorn is fantastic. When you say you want tons of butter, you get it. Just be sure to grab extra napkins! See more..

  14. 4.0 Sterling State Park (173 reviews)
    - Be prepared for the extra's needed to be comfortable
    State Parks • Parks
    Sterling State Park image
Bring blankets/sharp kitchen knife/ice/bath soap/towels/ washcloths/ice tea pitcher as these items are not included. There is simply a mattress with a light weight sheet. NOTE: uncomfortable beds. We rented cabin #8, which is a nice cabin. For the amount of money they are charging the beds should be more comfortable. We folded out the living room couch futon and found that to be acceptable for sleeping. Kids of course don't mind. The over all experience was good and the location was beautiful and less than 30 minutes to the Ford Mus/Greenville Villages, which we visited. The cabins are new and i suspect they will improve as times goes on. There is a fire pit at the cabin, a picnic table and an outside grill if you are prepared to use those, bring coals, and buy wood there on the camp grounds. Nice outside area for each cabin. The screened in porch was really nice, with one rocking chair and a double seat Adirondack style chair. Very nice. See more..
  15. 4.0 River Raisin National Battlefield Park (146 reviews)
    - Excellent History Find
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM National Parks • Battlefields
River Raisin National Battlefield Park image
We stumbled upon River Raisin National Battlefield Park when we were in the area to see Lake Erie. I knew nothing about the park when we went which added to my curiosity. It turns out this was the site of a major War of 1812 battle. The main museum building was closed, but a gentleman in period garb was stationed in a tent by the road. He gave us a detailed run down of the battle and events. We learned a tremendous amount about the local area during our time there. We walked along a portion of the battlefield path where a number of boards tell the story of the battle. It very hot, but it was an enjoyable stroll. I highly recommend stopping by River Raisin NBP as it was highly informative and a great place to visit! See more..

  19. 4.0 Sandy Creek Golf Course (4 reviews)
    - Incredible Staff
Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
We decided to take a longer drive and play around at Shady Creek. Upon our entry, we were warmly greeted. The staff were helpful and smiling. The course was well maintained and had few trees. The fairways were wide open and generous. At the end of the round, we went to the Cafe to grab some snacks. It was near closing time. The staff recalled our conversation and kept the fryer on to prepare our orders. What great service!!! Can't wait to come back with a bigger crowd! See more..

  24. 3.5 Harbor Dunes Golf Club & Mulligans Indoor Golf (3 reviews)
    - Great Value for the Price
Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
Course was in good shape compared to many other public courses in the area. Greens are better than most and tee boxes also in good shape. Water comes into play on many holes, nice layout, approach shots are not too challenging as greenside bunkers are limited and not too difficuly. Lacking many amenities of an upscale public course, but for $20 with a cart, you can't beat the price. Great Value. See more..
