UVM Morgan horse Farm is an excellent place to visit for those who are interested in horses. The stables are beautifully kept, and our guide, a UVM intern, gave us an excellent tour of the main barn. We were allowed to see the mare and foal barn, as well. I gained a new appreciation for the Morgan horse breed and its history. After the tour, I had plenty of time to watch the video and look at all the pictures and Morgan horse pedigrees on the walls of the main barn. I spent about three hours there that afternoon and loved every minute of it! See more..

Henry Sheldon Museum of Vermont History image
We were on our way out of Middlebury and decided to stop here for a look. What a great local museum. They have an extensive collection of household furnishings and hands on displays for kids to learn about life in the 1800's in rural Vermont. There was a nice gift shop with Vermont history books and crafts from local artisans. The back half of the house is used as a gallery with rotating exhibits of more contemporary pieces from local artists. We were very glad that we stopped to take a look. It is right in the center of town. See more..
