    - Don't Miss the Collaborative Theater Project
Sunday: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM Spent 2-3 hours Theaters
    Collaborative Theatre Project image
The Collaborative Theater Project is an undiscovered gem in Medford. My wife and I have seen two productions so far and enjoyed them both immensely. The Snow Queen was a re-telling of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale. I found myself digging deeper into the roots of the story after seeing the production. For me that's a sure sign that the play made an impression. These days who doesn't need a little more levity in their life? Leading Ladies kept me laughing from start to finish. I've often heard that comedy is tough to get right, but CTP really nailed it. The casts of both plays were fantastic, and it's clear that CTP is really putting a lot of heart into each production. The CTP theater (near Tinseltown) provides an intimate and comfortable venue. I highly recommend it. See more..

This fairly new tasting room is a lovely setting for some really good wine! We tasted a flight, 5 wines for $5, and liked all the wines we tried! The winery offers several whites - Pinot Gris, Viognier and Albariño. The Grenache Rose was delightful! Red wine offerings include Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Melange, Syrah and Tempranillo. There are outdoor tables on the covered porch or a lovely bar inside the tasting room. Super friendly owners who conducted our tasting and shared their wine making story. A delightful afternoon. This winery offers a marvelous value!! See more..

  7. 5.0 Dos Mariposas (1 review)
    - Great visit to Dos Mariposas Vineyards!!!
    Spent < 1 hour Wineries & Vineyards
My wife and I recently spent the night in historic Jacksonville, Oregon while en route to San Diego from Seattle. We arrived early in the afternoon, and I discovered there was a vineyard nearby which we were keen to visit. We called the owners and although their wine tasting facility is not yet complete, they invited us over to see their operation. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with 3 generations of the family who only recently relocated to Medford to pursue their dream of developing a vineyard and winery. Practicing social distancing due to Covid, we were provided a detailed tour of their 30 acre site which includes a beautiful lavender field. The property has a scenic pond framed by beautiful willow trees. Flocks of geese dispersed as we neared the pond. We sampled the wonderful red and green grapes straight from the vines as John and Judy told their story of relocating from Washington DC with their children and grandchildren to pursue their adventure. The plot of land is beautiful and offers great sunset views. After touring their land and outbuildings, we happily left with a case of Pinot Noir. It was great to see a whole family working together to fulfill their dream. I encourage anyone visiting or driving thru Jacksonville or Medford to give Dos Mariposas a call! See more..

We love the railroad park. All ages can enjoy it. They are open to the public on a limited basis. Most all the times we have been there are for a private party or gathering. We went to a church BBQ there on Saturday where there were probably 200 people in attendance. They are also a great activity for Birthday parties or family reunions. They have multiple scale trains to be seen. There is a great train ride that our kids ride almost nonstop while we are there. The clubs are super friendly and love trains. See more..

    - Cool Skatepark

    Bear Creek Park image
Cool, larger skatepark. Lots of locals, generally friendly. Fun deep bowls and hips. I wouldn’t leave my kid here alone though. There are some sketchy people here and there - some homeless and some just hanging out in cars. Nobody bothered us and I didn’t feel like we were in danger - just made sure to keep an eye on my kid. Bathrooms and a water fountain nearby. See more..

Brought the kids here for some entertainment on a Sunday afternoon. - Awesome brews and cool vibe.
    Sunday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Breweries
    Apocalypse Brewing Company image
Apocalypse opened just a couple months ago and I've visited a handful of times. Their beer is really good and they have something for everyone. The brewery is in a warehouse and they have done a nice job of creating a pleasant environment. For food, a mobile food cart parks itself outside, so even the brewery doesn't have a menu, there are options. The place is also pet friendly, which is really hard to find and a cool deal. See more..
