We just completed our 3rd trip with this amazing company and their incredible guides. Salmon Raft is truly world class and we are customers for life. They spare no detail when putting together these trips - my group of friends just did a fabulous four day trip on the lower Salmon and then through Hells Canyon— it was gorgeous, fun, equal parts peaceful and splashy. Lauren and Chris were accommodating for all sorts of dietary preferences, rafting experience, and have been so flexible with our group over the years as needs change and challenges arise (hello pandemic). Every guide puts their heart and soul into giving us the best trip possible, teaching us the ways of the river, keeping us fed with delicious and fresh food, and so much more. We did the 4 day trip down the Salmon and had an amazing time. Our guides (Arden, Cam and Gus) were the best and made the trip super fun. Not only were they knowledgeable and fun, they busted their butts for 4 days making great meals, setting up and breaking down camp each day and making sure we hit the best spot of every rapid. This is a good afternoon destination for a hike. We had a pleasant walk in and a pleasant walk out. There are a lot of nice hiking trails in the McCall area, and this is one of them. I recommend it for younger children but not babies, unless you like carrying them. See more..

I was hesitant at first to try electric bikes because I didn't think I'd get enough exercise, but I was pleasantly surprised. We had so much fun riding e-bikes around McCall. Apex provided excellent customer service. They helped us find the perfect bike and gave us great suggestions on places to ride in the area. We loved the bikes so much that we bought one! The 2 hour cruise was very relaxing, the music nostalgic, and the lakeside homes beautiful. We did not partake of the drinks, but a steward seemed always available to clear out empty glasses and such. We were informed of the history of the homes as well as the lake. What a fantastic hot springs experience outside of McCall, ID. The hot springs are just lovely and set in a backdrop of ID Mountain splendor. We came in the 'off season,' mid-October and literally had the springs to ourselves. Our party of 4 enjoyed a picnic and 2 hours of soaking in the springs and the autumn sun. Just a great way to spend and afternoon. I was able to ride my bike from McCall to the dirt road turn off to Burgdorf where the rest of my party met me. Colors were in full bloom everywhere and it was a better-than-good way to wind down after a great 32 mile ride. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! See more..

The tubing hill is steep enough to be fast without being dangerous and the staff are more than willing to give you a great spin. Even small kids can have loads of fun. There are snowshoeing and fat tire bike options too, but the real gem is the horse-drawn sleigh ride! The whole family loved it. One word of caution, though: if anyone on the sleigh ride is allergic to cats, take your own blankets. One of my kids had a reaction to cat hair on the blankets. Nothing serious, and it didn't stop her loving it, but just wanted to put it out there. We had such an awesome time, even with the allergies! See more..

My 7 y.o. wanted to skate but my 9 y.o. didn't, so this was perfect. It was busy so we had to book the bumper cars for later and skated while we waited. 9 y.o. had so much fun! And he got a bonus second ride right after as not all the cars were booked. The guy running the show (sorry I didn't get his name) was awesome, patient even when people had no idea what they wanted. He saw my 7 y.o. was feeling left out (turns out she DID want to ride the bumper cars) and got her in the car and out on the ice in a flash. Totally made her night! She had a kind if tricky car and he even went back out to help her figure out how to drive it. 10/10 would do this again! See more..

I've been coming here for over 30 years. What was once a fun bike destination is now a terrific place for a walk with a toddler in the stroller! Not much has changed, but the place looks fairly updated and the bathrooms are clean. The fish used to tantalize me as a child and now they were very entertaining for my daughter. I'm not sure how this place is funded or how necessary it is (all hatcheries are), but it's a very quiet place with plenty of shade and well-kept grounds. Worth visiting, for sure! See more..

I wanted to take a photo of Payette Lake and this small, scenic park was across the street from the restaurant. It was a nice place to walk around and stretch our legs before getting back in the car. It has a sloped grass lawn area good for picnics or playing and a small swimming beach with pier. I enjoyed the amusing bear sculpture and watching the children playing in the water.
