This tour is a must do if you're visiting LA! My partner and I just got back from 5 days in Los Angeles, and the tour was a definite highlight for us. We opted for a half day tour and it was honestly fantastic, the day went so quickly and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we wished we had done a full day instead. You really get to see so many great places that you might not make it to otherwise, depending on where you're staying. The best part about the whole experience though was our guide Joss! He made us feel so welcome and comfortable that we were able to just relax and enjoy the day. He also gave us some great suggestions of where to go and places to eat for the remainder of our trip which was great because we love our food. We've done many different types of day-tours before and Joss is hands-down the best guide we've had the pleasure of meeting. Fabulous yachting experience from Marina Del Rey over to Catalina. Everything was taken care of so our group could sit back and relax. Lunch and drinks were served while under sail, and it's hard not to imagine that the multiple pods of dolphins that joined us were part of the experience! All in all the sailing was the highlight of a birthday weekend, and I would recommend this unreservedly. First and foremost, let me tell you this theater is like traveling first class compared to other theaters. it is really nice to watch a very long movie here and order food and even drinks. The seats are plush and extremely comfortable. I do not know why everyone complains that it is too cold, I found it to be just right and maybe even a little bit warm. I did not need a pillow and or a blanket even though I brought one of each! I watched the hobbit here and it was perfect for such a lengthy movie. You can take a bike or drive your car to the harbor in Marina Del Rey. It is very pretty with plenty to do. You can have junk food or fine dinning within a walk of the harbor area. The boats are fun to look at and it is a nice walk and usually cool outside. You can not get into certain boat areas because the gates are locked but you are welcome to walk pretty close. You can also walk to the Fisherman's Village from there. It has shops and a couple of good places to eat. Have a great time. See more..

They offer classes on sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, surfing and rowing -- instruction and all the equipment, even wetsuits if you need them. Plus, they have a really good summer program for kids and teens. This weekend, at the Open House I sampled sailing -- on both a Capri (very small sail boat) and a Hobie Catamaran -- and kayaking. As a rule, I don't like spas because of the environment, not the treatment. I hate walking into a location feeling like I'm in a Dr.'s office. I've been to very expensive spas at hotels and bare bones places and it always seems extremely noisy, too crowded and you can always hear the outside noise during your treatment. Creative Chakra is none of the above. It's a lovely, spiritual vibe, very clean, very eco-friendly tucked away steps from the beach. And, the owner Sandy makes you feel like you're the most important person in the Universe. What I also hate about other spas, is you can never get an appt. when you want to. Not the case with Creative Chakra. I had the nerve to call on a Sunday and get a deep tissue massage on the same day. That never happens. The masseuse Kevin was fantastic. NOTE - this review is about a VENICE BEACH location, not Marina Del Rey, which many of the reviews seem to be about (though the one describing 'above a nail salon and waiting room looking onto a balcony sound like the same place I went to in Venice Beach). Figured I'd treat myself to a massage after the long flight from east coast. Spa Soleil totally pampered me - tray with nuts, fruit juice and mint water, then a foot bath with heating 'pad' for my neck, then one of the best massages I've ever had - some Thai massage thrown in.
